I wake up to a hot and humid bedroom. I forgot to put my air conditioning onto timer. It's so warm in here.
I walk downstairs and the house is decorated with American themed banners and others things. The food smells amazing.
Surprisingly, it's quite late. Guests should be arriving in just over an hour. I need to get a move on.
I walk into the kitchen to say a quick good morning to everyone before heading back upstairs to get a shower.
I blast Hozier whilst taking forever in the shower as it keeps me entertained. Just as I'm about to finish up, I hear a knock at the door.
I get out of the shower and wrap a towel around me. "Alexa, pause." I say before walking to my bedroom door.
I open it slightly and stick my head round the corner. To my surprise it's Noah. "Hello." I smile as I open the door wider welcoming him in.
"There's my pretty girl." He awes. "Behave, I don't have any mascara on." I frown. "You don't need it." He speaks softly before gently grabbing the back of my neck and kissing my forehead.
"We are going somewhere once your ready." Noah states. "Mhhhmmm..." I puzzle. "Secret." He smirks. I roll my eyes and head into the bathroom to put on my outfit. It's a nice green summer dress with white sandals and white cardigan.
I walk back out into my room and see Noah sat on the edge of my bed patiently waiting. I sit at my vanity desk and apply my mascara, some blush and lipgloss. I dry my hair quickly before standing and walking over to Noah.
"I'm ready." I smile. "You look gorgeous." He compliments me. "You look handsome as always." I kiss his forehead.
We reach for each others hands and walk downstairs to the car. As we reach the car, Noah does the gentlemen thing of opening the door. I still find it sweet.
When I sit in the car I notice Ellie's favourite flowers in the car. Next to her bunch of tulips, my favourite flowers are there. Sunflowers.
"I know that today of all days, you will need to speak to her." He explains as he starts the car. "Thank you." I smile holding back the tears.
He grasps my hand and squeezes it lightly. As we start driving, Ellie's favourite song starts playing on the radio. "She's with you today." Noah smiles.
I smile as I look out of the window. Oh how I miss her.
It doesn't take long before we are at the graveyard. I get out of the car and Noah patiently waits for me in the car. I take the tulips over to her grave.
"I haven't seen you in ages, to be completely honest it's still quite painful to think about you. It's painful to come and see you, and I'm sorry." I start rambling.
"Everyone is leaving soon. College isn't far away and everyone's lives are taking different paths. This is the year we should've been jetting off to see the world before college." I smile holding back more tears.
"I can't go to college without you. Plus I think we can both agree that I'll learn more and enjoy more by having my cafe." I carry on rambling.
"God, you've missed so much and you'll continue to miss so much more." I sigh. "I promise to try and come to see you more, especially now everyone is leaving." I wander into a daze.
It takes me a good minute before I can snap out of it. "I still need you." I say hoarsely.
I place the tulips down before placing my hand on her grave. "See you soon Ells." I smile.
I walk back to the car and as I sit back in the seat, I take a deep breath. "Thank you." I smile as I look at Noah. "Anytime." He says before pecking me on the lips.
