"WAKE UPPP, AMY!!" Was the first thing Amelia heard when she lazily opened her eyes. Ava was tugging her to make her wake up, but she only obtained to make her groan loudly while she hid he face under her pillow not to see the light which entered through the curtains of their dorm.

She definitely wasn't a morning person, but apparently Ava was, and that was a big problem. Her sleep was more important than anything else.

"Come on, look what a wonderful day it's today," the brunette said enthusiastically. She went to tear open the curtains, enlightening the room without leaving a single place covered in the darkness of night.

Now, it was useless to remain in bed. Thus, Amelia reluctantly began to understand where she was as she slowly sat on the edge of her bed, tiredly rubbing her eyes to try to clear her vision.

"Good morning, sleepy head," Lavander giggled as she was making her bed with the help of Parvati.

"Morning," she replied with a raspy voice, making the others laugh lightly. She was already feeling knackered, and the day hadn't really started yet. She still had to get used to this new routine, which implied having to wake up before the sun raised.

She scanned the room as she made her way towards the bathroom to get ready, but she didn't see Granger anywhere, and her bed was already made perfectly. "Where is Granger?" She asked, gathering her things.

"In the common room, I think," Ava responded while combing her hair in front of the mirror. "She always goes there before breakfast to read."

Amelia nodded. She was beginning to think that this girl was seriously an alien if she was able to wake up after just four hours of sleep and feeling better than ever. They were opposites even under that aspect.

Amelia, during breakfast, sat between Harry and Parvati, and for the first time since she arrived at Hogwarts, she felt like she was starting to make some friends.

She glanced at the Slytherin table on her left, looking for her brother. Their eyes met almost instantly, but Aaron lowered his gaze just a second later, leaving Amelia wondering if he still considered her as his sister or if he as well had cancelled her from the family.

"Harry," she whispered, "go to Ron, don't worry about me." She said that because she noticed the redhead looking at her with knives in his eyes since Harry sat next to her and not to him.

"Absolutely not," the boy replied, secure as he brought to his mouth a piece of sausage. "I want to stay here with you. He has to accept that you're my friend too."

In front of them, Granger was alternig her gaze from Amelia to the boy, with a sad expression.

"You seem a bit tired, Black," Ginny observed, playfully mocking Amelia how she could only do. "Has Ava woken you up too soon?"

"It's literally impossible to wake her," Granger commented, anticipating her answer. "If she only went to bed sooner then maybe it wouldn't be a so arduous task," she said, putting emphasis on the word sooner as she clenched her fingers around her glass so hard that her knuckles became white.

What Amelia didn't tell her was that she stayed up late just to postpone as much as possible the moment in which she closed her eyes. Because she didn't want to have nightmares every single night of her life. That was why she stayed in the common room with Harry until she was dying of sleep.
