:・゚✧:・.☽˚。・゚✧:Today was the big day: the Quiddich season began officially. The first match would be Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff, so it was Harry against Cedric.
Amelia, when she and the grey eyed boy had talked about it, had told Cedric she would root for her house, but, in all honesty, she wouldn't mind if Hufflepuff won. They seemed better than her housemates, and their house was profoundly underrated than the others; they deserved a bit more recognition. Hufflepuff was the only house that had never had a Death Eater as a member; it had to mean something.
"I heard that there is gonna be a storm out there," Amelia pointed out. She was laying on her stomach on Cedric's bed with her hands under her chin to keep herself up, waiting for the boy who was getting ready for the game. His dorm was very different from hers.
The four-poster beds were covered in patchwork quilts and were furnished with wooden bedsteads. Copper lamps cast a warm light in the dorms, and copper bed warmers hung on the walls, which made the floor warm. A wooden nightstand was situated on one side of the bed, and a wooden trunk was located at the foot of the bed. A desk, an armoire, and a dresser were located against the wall.
Floors and walls were made of stone. A plant holder was on the wall, and a plant was placed on one side of the bed. The dorm had half-circle windows, and it had a yellow and black carpet with the house crest in the centre and two spherical lamps on either side.
Amelia wasn't obviously allowed into the Hufflepuff dormitory. However, Cedric couldn't care less about it; he shrugged and told her, "I'm a Prefect, nobody will say a word about your presence here."
It was situated in the Dungeons, close to the Slytherin's common room Amelia guessed. Any time she would think about Aaron, her heart ached. His words still echoed inside her mind, hurting her as if she had a knive stuck in the chest. It was true: sometimes, words hurt more than actions.
"Yeah, I know," Cedric quietly replied, coming out of the bathroom with his uniform on. He wiped his hair with a clean towel, though, in less than an hour, he would be soaked again. "But we will wear protection glasses to avoid that water gets into our eyes; thus, it won't be a problem a bit of rain."
His lips curled up as he saw Amelia slouched on his bed. "Are you comfy there?" He asked her, putting down the towel to leave free his messy hair.
"Very," the younger girl answered with a grin from ear to ear. She jumped a few times on the older boy's bed, making him giggle. "This mattress is softer than the one I have. Perhaps Granger casted a spell on mine to make me have cemento instead of a morbid mattress."
Cedric shook his head. "You really hate each other that much?" He asked her, gesturing her to follow him to head towards the Great Hall.
The brunette nodded profusely, walking hand-in-hand with the boy. "Since the beginning," she answered. "Like love at first sight for us it was hate at first sight."
"It's a shame," Cedric observed, causing Amelia to frown. "In my opinion, you are more alike than what you think. You could be good friends if you only put aside the hatred you feel for the other."
Amelia scrunched her nose, gazing at Cedric with the corner of her eye. "That is out of discussion, Ced," she protested. "Granger and I will never be friends. Ugh, she is the most frustrating, annoying, arrogant, difficult person I've ever met."
The older boy raised his brows taken aback by the deepness of the dislike that Amelia and Granger shared. He was aware that the two weren't fond of each other, but he didn't imagine that they really couldn't stand each other that way. "I got the message," he said, lifting his arms up in defeat. "You and Hermione are nothing but roommates."
