"YOU HAVEN'T! YOU HAVE GOT THE WRONG MAN!" Someone that Amelia thought was Harry shouted. "Sirius Black is innocent! Peter Pettigrew faked his own death! We saw him tonight! You can't let the Dementors do that thing to Sirius..."

She laid in what she supposed was a hospital bed; she tried to open her eyes to see what on Earth was going on, but her eyelashes felt too heavy to lift. She was feeling as if her head was going to explode any minute now. The words she was hearing seemed to be travelling very slowly from her ears to her brain so that it was difficult to understand. She wanted to lie here, on this comfortable bed, forever...

Following the Golden trio in one of their suicidal missions hadn't exactly been one of Amelia's best decisions for sure.

The only positive aspect of their little adventure was that she had found her father and discovered he was innocent...

Hold on!

Amelia's brain seemed to move a little faster, and as it did, a gnawing sensation grew in the pit of her stomach...

Where was her father now?

"Minister, please, listen," Granger pleaded, and Amelia breathed a sigh of relief. When she saw her laying on the ground while they were hopelessly trying to produce a Patronus, Amelia felt absolutely terrified.

Not because she cared about Granger more than necessary, no, no, but because without the older girl, who was the only one who challenged her every single day of her existence, nobody was able to test her patience as well she as did.

Amelia opened her eyes, being greeted by Granger's and Harry's figures that stood tall in front of the stuffed shirts of Fudge and Snape. Everything was slightly blurred. She was in the dark hospital wing. At the very end of the ward, she could make out Madam Pomfrey with her back to her, bending over a bed; Ron's red hair was visible beneath Madam Pomfrey's arm.

"I saw him too. It was Ron's rat, he's an Animagus, Pettigrew, I mean --" the ice princess suddenly whipped around to Amelia's bed and pointed at her, "Amelia was there too! She saw it too! If you don't believe me, ask her, she'll tell you!"

Fudge laughed lightly. "Miss Granger, do you reckon I could ever believe to Miss Black, the daughter of a murderer? She would say anything in order to see her father finally free!"

Amelia furrowed her brows, slightly shaking her head as she listened to the Minister of Magic talking about her and her father.

It's not like she would come up with an invented story just to make Sirius appear innocent if he was guilty.

"You see, Minister?" Said Snape. "Confunded indeed... Black's done a very good job on them..."

Madam Pomfrey now came walking up the dark ward to Amelia's bed. She was carrying the largest block of chocolate she had ever seen in her life, making her her mouth water. She would have never refused chocolate, never.

"Ah, you're awake!" She said briskly. She placed the chocolate on her beside table and began to break it apart with a small hammer.

"WE'RE NOT CONFUNDED!" Harry roared at Snape.

"And if you shut up and listen, maybe you would understand what happened --" Amelia shouted fiercely after she sat up, but Madam Pomfrey suddenly stuffed a large chunk of chocolate into her mouth, making her choke. She swallowed her mouthful piece of chocolate with great difficulty.

"Minister! Professor!" Said Madam Pomfrey angrily. "I must insist that you leave. Potter, Granger and Black are my patients, and they should not be distressed!"
