I sit here with you
And your worry pinched brow
I sit here with you
And your sad heart
Pain tinted eyes
Tears falling from them
Nurturing the grass
Helping it growI sit here with you
On this hillside
Where all heartbreak goes
And I hold you close
All I ask of you is your love
You are unwilling
You are afraidI sit here with you
In this place
Where the grass grows
Where your tears water the flowers
Where the rain falls
And I make effort
To let you know
The grass will grow to forget you
But I won't.
