Chloe's POV

I continued watching my father scroll through planet stats. His face became angrier with each swipe, until he banged his hand on the throne and stood up, the hologram disappearing with him. "What type of resources would we get with these planets? None!" He yelled angrily at us. "But father, there are no more planets that can offer us the resources we need to survive." Rebecca said.
My father smiled. "That is where you are wrong, my daughter. Behold E7, or as some call it, Earth." He said as he pulled up a holographic figure of the Earth, giving all its information. "But, that planet is already inhabited. Humans live there, along with the aid of the Green Lanterns. Plus, there's been accounts of Kryptionas, and many meta-humans." I say take a step forward. My father smiles at me. "You have studied well, daughter. This is where the Reach comes in. I will allow our newest allies to experiment with these 'meta-humans', getting them out of our way and letting our invasion be quiet." He said.
"But father, that will only make our attack more obvious if people are missing. Unless you have some way to let the humans help you, the planet is too well guarded." Rebeccas said as she took a step to be next to me. "Plus, the Reach's way is inhumane! It would only make our invasion more-" I began, but then my face went slack, and I stood completely still. I noticed my father was holding some kind of remote control.
He walked down the long staircase and came to stand in front of me and Rebecca, who had her arms crossed. "You know she hates being controlled." Rebecca said as she looked away from him. He puts a hand on her shoulder. "She does not listen like you, Rebecca. She hesitates to kill, your mother did too, and where did that get her? This will be her downfall. But this mission will be her test, to see if she is truly the chosen one of the Helmans." He said as he turned to look at me. I still stand completely still, no emotions on my face.
He turns his attention back to Rebecca. "You will go to the Reach and tell them our plan. Your sister will be infiltrating Earth alone." He said as he began to walk back to his throne. "But father, do you think she can handle it alone?" Rebecca says as she turns to look at me. "She will be fine. Like I said, it will be a test. Get her prepared and have her leave immediately. Now leave me, I have much work to do." My father says as he sits back on the throne and presses the remote again, releasing his control over me.
I immediately gasp for air and take some steps back. Rebecca grabs me by the arm and drags me out of the room and stops once we're down the hall. "Did you hear everything he said?" She asks me, and I nod 'yes.'. "Good, let's go get you prepped." She said, as we began to walk. She takes me to a room full of weapons and gear. She gives me no weapons, but sits me down and adjusts the control device on the back of my neck.
"There, now we can tell your stats and positioning. When you reach earth, just tap it twice and it'll act as a communicating device. Now c'mon, let's go to the docks." She said, pulling me once again. I guess that was her way of showing sisterly love. Once we reached it, I realized there were no ships. "Wait, how am I supposed to get there?" I asked her. She put a hand on my shoulder and smiled. "Your flight will allow you to get enough speed, along with the combo of your powers. Besides, this is supposed to be a stealth mission." She explained.
I pull her into a hug, and after a minute, she hugs back. "I don't know if I can do this without you." I whispered into her shoulder. "You'll be fine, now c'mon, as soon as you leave, I have to go to the reach and ask them for their aid." She said as she pulled away. I nodded and she walked over to a small control box and pressed a few buttons. I put the mask and hood on and over my face, and she nodded as she put her mask up too. She opened the large hangar doors, and I flew out of them.
