"I've known it from the very start
We're a shot in the darkest dark
Oh no, oh no, I'm unarmed
The waiting is a sadness
Fading into madness
Oh no, oh no, it won't stop"Say Don't Go (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) - Taylor Swift
Leah never thought she could feel like this.
Inside her, there was a whole range of emotions that she could partly identify and partly... never felt before. Not even with Sam. Was this what it felt like to be with your imprinting? Was this how she should have felt from the beginning, instead of feeling a constant conflict with herself?
She didn't get her hopes up. She knew she still had to talk to Felix for a long time, not only to understand what he had said to her and what had happened meant to them, but also because Leah had spent more than a month convinced that Felix barely tolerated her, only to discover that that was his character.
Leah had a bad temper, but his was worse.
If they hadn't talked about it, they would have risked to start arguing again about every single thing.
But... in that moment she felt happy. For just one time, she wanted to really feel it. To think about him, them, without throwing anything else in the mix.
After their... encounter in the bathroom, he had kissed her on her lips and told her: "Shower. I need to call Aro."
So, now, after the shower, she was seated on the couch, drinking some coffee. She had been up for almost twenty-four hours, but she was not tired.
She felt charged.
The sun was raising and she didn't feel the need to go to sleep. So, she decided to wait Felix finishing his call, while she drank the coffee.
Leah could hear him speaking Italian, in his usual authoritarian tone. She was starting to like that particular tone... God, what did it say about her?
For a brief moment, she felt the need to call Emily. The need to talk about her situation was so strong that she thought about her cousin almost instantly, but after that, she remembered her phone problem. It had been off for a couple of days now.
Did her mother watch the tapes? And Sam?
Did Jacob know about Felix?
She sighed.
She had managed to ruin her mood in less than five minutes. It was a record, even for her.
Leah should have taken some courage and power on her phone, but she was not ready yet.
She wanted to pretend for a little more.

Leah woke up with a start. The room was dark, but she could faintly hear the sound of Felix's computer keyboard.
She was in her room, on her bed. She had fallen asleep while waiting for him to finish his call and he must have carried her into the room, because Leah didn't remember anything except turning on the TV to try to keep her eyes open, after she realized she had been waiting for him for almost an hour.
She wasn't surprised, she had had a fiery twenty-four hours, between Demetri, the few transformations so close together and the moment in the bathroom with Felix.
