"She is actually really talented." Ben exclaimed as he sat down in a hockey position completely shocked by the talent of the new girl.
They were currently watching a game between the boys and girls. They did it every time a new player practiced with them, just to see how the player was playing with the team.
"It looks like she been playing with this team her whole life. She has learned her place on the field within a matter of ten minutes. People uses several months on that!" Chris was just as shocked.
"That's what I said! She's a natural!" Anna proudly agreed.
"Okay! That's it for tonight! Remember, no practice tomorrow and everyone is invited to a barbecue at our house at seven o'clock tomorrow night." Ben yelled out on the field dismissing everyone.
Eve went to fetch her water bottle that she had accidentally put by the coaches. Yes, Anna seemed really sweet, but the two others, especially Ben scared her already.
When she bend down to pick it up something hard hit her back, making her tumble over. She looked back up to see a crowed of boys from the boy team stood a few steps away laughing. One of them had thrown a ball at her. How mature.
"Get a hold of your boys, Ben." Anna said as she was about to help Eve stand up.
"Ey!" Ben yelled getting the crowds attention. "My office 5.30 Saturday morning!" He yelled at them, only getting a bunch of complaints back.
When Eve thought no one was paying attention she picked up the ball and threw it even harder back at the group of boys. She managed to hit one of them, the ball bounced of his face and hit a second and a third one.
"What the fuck!" The boys turned around to see an innocent Eve shrugging it off.
"Nice hit!" Three of the girls who had watched her came over and high-fived her.
Eve recognized them as Hannah, Samara and Marie.
"I'm here every day of the week." Eve joked as she did a little bow.
Anna stood behind her laughing at her antics. She couldn't understand why she felt so protective of this girl she met only a few hours ago.
"Some of the girls are going to grab a bite to eat, do you want to come?" Hannah, one of the oldest on the team asked. She also had gotten really fond of Eve on such short time.
"Yeah sure." Eve said as she picked up her things and followed after. "Are you coming too?" Eve don't know why she did it, but she turned around to ask if Anna was tagging along.
Samara snorted sarcastically. "Anna never tags along. She is too busy with her husband." She joked.
Anna narrowed her eyes at the Samara.
"Wait? Are you actually contemplating it?" Marie asked. "Oh come on Anna, you haven't joined us for our gossip sessions in ages." Marie pleaded.
Anna looked up at Ben who just smiled down at her. Of course he wanted her to go. She was always stuck with him, she needed some girl time and he knew that these girls meant everything to her, despite the age gap between her and the youngest girls.
"Fine! I'll join you." She said. A faint smile on her face.
The girls walked in to a cute local restaurant. Eve saw the rest of the team already sat on a huge round table in the corner.
"Hey its the magic girl! Come sit between me and Sam!" A girl Eve thought was Ingrid told her. She sat down and was included in their conversation as soon as she hit the chair.
