"That was a day the town would never forget, a name that would forever hunt everyone, Everleigh Jacobs." The taxi driver finished talking. He had told the young passenger about the towns most horrible story. A girl being kidnapped then eaten by a wild animal was sure something no one wanted any loved one to endure.

Eve was new in town, at only sixteen she was on her way to fulfill her lifelong dream. Driving through the cow filled meadows she had trouble knowing if this was a dream or real. She had to pinch herself several times to check if she was indeed awake.

"That is a terrible story. Did it happen a long time ago?" Eve's curiosity was spiked. Especially since both of the collage coaches was involved.

"No not really. You would think this happened like in the seventies or eighties, but it happened fourteen years ago, two thousand and eight I think. The girl would've been seventeen this year." He explained. A sad smile on his face.

"Is her family still coaching? What's their names? Anna and Benjamin?" She asked. She knew what the coaches names was.

How you might ask? She was the youngest handpicked football player to play for the team. She graduated high school early just to get the chance to play with her favorite team.

And that's where she was headed now. She's extremely nervous and have no idea what to expect.

They might be awful towards her because of her age, but she hoped it wouldn't be a problem. She was going to turn seventeen this Saturday and then it would only be two years between the youngest players and her. Not too bad, right?

"Yeah that's right. Do you know them?" The taxi driver asked.

"No I don't. I'm one of the newest students at the college, I have a football scholarship so Anna is going to be my head coach." Eve told him. She could see his face turn red. The taxi driver certainly regretted what he had said.

"Don't worry I won't tell anyone that I know about the drama." She chuckled as they stopped outside of the college building.

The building was attached to the big stadium that she guessed the football team practiced and played their homegames at.

Climbing out of the taxi a warm breeze hit her, a fresh smell of grass and flowers followed. It was a big contrast to the big city she had grown up in.

A tall, midsized, old man came walking towards her. He gave her a small smile and she recognized him immediately. That must be the dean, welcoming her in person.

As he came closer he stretched out his hand. "My name is Mr. Hansen, the dean of this beautiful school if I may say so myself."

"Eve Summers. Nice to meet you." Eve said excepting the hand.

"I'm going to show you to your dorm, then I will show you around the school before we'll go over to the stadium where both of your coaches and both teams will welcome you." He said. Eve took a deep breath before nodding. She felt more nervous now then what she had a few seconds ago.

Mr. Hansen helped Eve get everything out of the taxi and up to the second floor where her dorm was. After that Mr.Hansen showed Eve around for almost two hours before they headed towards the football field in the big stadium where she was going to meet her new teammates and coaches.

Waiting on the field was the coaches and team. The assistant coach had just been told about the new addition to the girls team. Chris was not so happy when he heard her age.

"Sixteen? Are you kidding me? Anna, why would you recruit a sixteen year old?" Chris asked his boss and best friend.

"I'm as shocked as you. She is still a child." Ben joined in. He had learned to never question his wife when it came to coaching, but recruiting a child was something he had to question.
