It is 8:45 on a monday morning, i have only just woken up even though i normally start school at 8am but the teachers knew that i wasnt going to be attending in the morning

I normally skip morning lessons most days, the school has tried to make me come in but i refuse, but at least i attend some days

I live in london and i am in year 9 of secondary school and the only reason i go to school is to see my best mates Harry and Alexa and obviously my drama lessons with my favourite teacher Mrs Campbell, when i want to skip a lesson or i am feeling unwell she lets me stay in her office with her because she knows if she didnt i would skip in the toilets.

This morning i woke up pretty early, normally i am not awake before 10 so it is an achievement that i am up this early and you may wonder where my parents are but i used to live with my mum who ignored me and never said a word to me, ever since dad left she had ignored me and left me to fend for myself which i had been doing now for 3 years but recently i got emancipated which means that i am my own legal guardian and i know it must seem like i am young and looking after myself it is better off this way especially after that last time i saw my mother

3 months ago i auditoned for a role in a marvel movie and Mrs campbell convinced me to do it and she helped me set it all up i knew i wasnt going to get the role but it still made me feel good about myself that i had auditioned because there was a time in my life where i thought i would never be able to audition and back out last minute, it also wasnt going to work because i live in the UK and most of the marvel movies they shoot them in the USA

I got out of bed at 9am and got ready taking a quick shower before blow drying my hair to make sure that it doesnt get my uniform wet and by 9:45 i was ready to leave and its only a 15 minute walk so i knew i would be there by 10 if i hurried but i felt like taking a slow walk today.

I grabbed my bag and put my black air forces on, my school allows trainers as long as they are black and not any other colours, as soon as i was going to leave the house my phone rang and i was not shocked why the school was ringing me

I answered the phone and too my suprise i have a meeting as soon as i get into the school with the headteacher, apparently he has to speak to me about some important news which i knew it was going to be about my attendance and attitude about school but i really couldnt give a shit

*2 hours before*

3rd person POV

The headteacher walked into his office after the assembly for the yr 9s and he sat down at his desk and checked his emails on who has been off and not come to form time,  he was not suprised when Nova Williams did not come again, the headteacher Mr Bedford knew the issues with Novas mother and that some days Nova has mental health days but he also knows that most days she just doesnt want to be there

After 20 minutes the receptionist knocked on Mr Bedfords door and poked her head through the door where she had opened it slightly

"Im sorry to disturb you Mr Bedford but we have vistors and the desk from marvel studios asking to speak to Nova Williams about a recent audition"

The headteacher was shocked, he knew that Nova done wonderful in her drama class but he didnt know that she had thought to be an actress

"No worries Carol, you can send them in but i must say i am a but shocked i didnt know that Nova even auditioned for a role"

"Me either but ill sent them through to your office Mr bedford and ill let you know when Nova arrives which shouldnt be too long" the receptionist said before she left to go and grab the people waiting to speak to Nova
