Novas Pov

I woke up the next day feeling like I didn't want to do anything again but I knew Scarlett would be in here soon as she told me we we're going to work on another assignment, she told the tutor that I wouldn't have the online lessons this week so I could do the assignments with Scarlett and she agreed but I still didn't understand anything with these assignments and it just makes me feel so stupid that I didn't know anything, I may have not been the best straight A student in the UK but at least I understood some things there but here it makes me feel like I am so useless

I lay in bed scrolling on TikTok for a couple of minutes and I see it is 11am so Scarlett must have let me have a lie in today which I was so happy about because I didn't fall asleep til 4am because my mind wouldn't shut off, I didn't want to wake Scarlett or Colin up because I felt bad for disrupting their sleep just because of me, I felt my phone get lifted out of my hands as the bed dipped beside me and I turned around to see Scarlett smirking at me as she slipped my phone into her pocket so I couldn't reach it

"Good morning my beautiful girl" she said kissing the top of my forehead stroking all the hair out of my face and I smiled as she proceeded to press gentle kisses all around my face, she sat me up and practically dragged me downstairs to the kitchen where she told me she had got me a fruit bowl because she knows I don't eat much in the morning otherwise it makes me feel sick and I ate my fruit with the help of Scarlett because of my hand and she told me to go and get ready so we can work on the assignments and honestly I just wanted to crawl up into a ball and die because I could not be asked for these stupid assignments and most of them were fucking essays which made it harder for me as I needed to use my left hand to write which is not my dominant hand

I sit on my desk as I brushed my hair and I had no clue what I wanted to do with my hair today as I knew we were not going out so I just decided to use a craw clip and put it up because I didn't want it in my face whilst I am working otherwise it would piss me off even more than I am right now, I stay seated on my desk and play some games on my iPad because I didn't want to go back downstairs and start the assignments yet so I just took the opportunity to play as I knew Scarlett would come and get me eventually as I was taking longer to get ready than usual and I was right when she knocked on the door and I got angry as I was just about to win on the snake game and she made me jump, I throw my iPad out of frustration and hid my face in my legs as I used my left hand to slightly tug on my hair, I felt my chair getting spun around and a pair of gentle hands on my knees rubbing them softly which helped a little but I was still irritated

"Nova baby calm down it's okay" I heard her voice speak calmly and I felt my breathing get a little better and my head was pulled out of my knees and she wiped my face which made me realise I had been crying out of anger and I didn't even realise it, "Nova bear talk to me" she said still bending down in front of my chair and I shook my head at her not wanting to tell her i just got overwhelmed by a stupid game

"It's okay baby I know you got frustrated about the game but we do not throw the iPad around okay no matter how angry you get you do not hit or throw stuff we have been over this before Nova bear" she told me in a calming manner which I don't know if she is pissed off or not, I hesitantly nod at her knowing I shouldn't let my anger get the better of me and I felt bad for acting like this but this is the only way I knew how to cope with my emotions

"Right I think you need to take a breather for 10 minutes so come down stairs and sit on the couch for a while whilst I get everything sorted for the assignments and before you say anything we have to do them Nova and I promise I will help you with what ever you need"she told me and I nodded feeling a little bit better that she will help me with it and not leave me to do it on my own
