Lizzies pov

Nova hopped out of the car before i could even put the lock on to trap her in and she ran so fast that i lost track of her before i could even start the car up again, i was still on the phone with Scar and she was panicking now as i drove around trying to find her

It had been 3 hours now and Scar didnt hang up she was telling me different places that i could look for her and i even updated Florence on the situation and she told me she would keep an eye out if she came back to hers but i doubt she would because it was like an hour walk but a 30 minute drive so she wouldnt do that

"Scar ive looked everywhere i dont know where she would have gone and ive rung the physical therapist and she told me she could fit her in for 3 but it is nearly 1 now" i said panicking because i had lost her and Scarlett was trying to get me to calm down as she told me there was one more place where she could have gone to and she told me the directions to the park where Alexa and her used to go

I parked my car and grabbed my phone walking into the park and luckily it wasnt a big park so i didn't have to walk around trying to find her, i see a figure sitting at the edge of a small platform over looking the lake and i knew she wasnt going to hurt herself because the lake was like 10 inches deep anyways, she just was looking down at the waves i see her phone sitting next to her and it opened i saw all the messages she had gotten from me, Scarlett and Flo and she had even got some from Chris and Colin

I sit next to her draping my feet over like her so our feet was dangling over the edge, i nod at Scarlett to tell her i have found her because i told her to mute herself so she doesnt scare Nova and i feel Nova put her head onto my shoulder so she knows i am here

"Im really sorry Lizzie it just all got to much" she says still looking over to the river and i could smell the smoke on her as she laid on me. i should have known she may have had more when we went to get some of her things yesterday

"I know your sorry Nono but you cant run away like that do you understand how worried me and Scar have been" i tell her resting my head ontop of hers and i hand her the phone with Scarlett to let Scarlett say something

"Im so sorry Scarlett, i know i deserve the grounding but it just pissed me off when Mr Bedford didnt even try and look at it from my point of view until i practically forced him to ask me what had happened, it seemed like he was pretty alright with just giving me the punishment without even asking me what had happened" i hear her say and i know Scarlett is worried about her but if she is suspended for 2 weeks now it means that she may not have to go back to school here because the adoption hearing is in 2 weeks

"I know Nova bear i understand why you were angry but you have to understand that you cant act that way, you cant run from your problems when it gets too hard you have to talk them out with us and im sorry but you are still going to be grounded for a week and your phone will be taken off of you but i will let Lizzie give it to you in the day so i can talk to you okay" Scarlett explains and i held my breath hoping it doesnt cause her to have another outburst and run away again but i feel Nova nod against my shoulder accepting it

"Nono i rescheduled your appointment for 3 now so we have time before we have to head there" i told her as she wasnt speaking to Scarlett anymore and she nodded her head again, before she sat up straight and wiped the tears away that i didnt even know had been falling

"Im sorry its just seeing Alexa brought up the memory of little bean and it just hurt to think about" Nova said covering her mouth as she sobbed so i pulled her closer to me letting her cry on me as i stroked her hair because Scarlett said it calms her down if this happens

"Nova bear i know but soon you will be home okay and ill give you the biggest cuddle in the world" Scarlett said and i hear Nova chuckle a little wiping her tears as Scarlett started to reassure her everything will be fine in the end
