Time ran out

Scarlett's Pov

My mouth was left wide with shock when I heard her call me mama, I rushed out of the room to Colin downstairs with tears running down my face in happiness and I think he was thinking I was upset about something but in reality I was full of joy about this, Colin and I were talking about adopting her officially but we didn't know if that was something she wanted as she has all her friends and her whole life is in the UK but we already thought of Nova as our daughter

"Hey scar what's wrong?" I hear Colin asking me wiping my tears and I smile at him telling him about what just happened "She called me mama Colin" and I see Colin get the biggest smile on his face as he hugs me tighter and I decide to not bring it up with Nova in the morning because she might have said it by accident, but we really didn't want Nova to leave especially as she is going to be gone for a few months and we won't see her properly til the end of the year

After we hugged for a little longer me and Colin decide to head to bed as we went to get up early and spend the day with Nova before she is going back home and I know I am going to be a crying mess when she actually has to leave, I was also worried for her because as she will be on her own again when she comes back all the progress we had made with her letting us help her might be gone but I will be there for her through whatever

*next morning*

I woke up and shut my alarm off, it was 8 and I knew Nova would not like waking up this early but I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible as she has her flight tomorrow at 2pm, tonight I was going to help her pack her things properly as I know she has just shoved most of them in and she won't get the rest in, I make my way to Novas room and wake her up after it took 20 minutes for her to actually get up and I left her to get ready as we were surprising the girls with a day trip to the theme park as Nova told me she always wanted to go to one in America

Once I made sure Rose was ready I got them in the car and we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast which Rose was happy with but I see Nova looking half asleep still in her backseat

"Nova it's going to take a while to get there so you can take a little nap baby" I tell her and she shifts herself to make herself comfortable and I look back to her to see her drifting off to sleep and I chuckled knowing how tired she was and eventually Rose fell asleep as it was a 2 hour journey and she didn't mention her calling me mom so I don't think she remembered it which made me a bit sad but maybe it was a mistake and she wanted her actual mother

When we finally arrive I have the job of waking the girls up as Colin goes in and gets the wristbands for the rides, Rose was pretty easy to wake up as when she caught sight of all the rides she shot awake and wouldn't stop talking how excited she was, I wake Nova up and she looked around and I see her face light up with excitement and she gets out of the car looking around at all the rides and I smile to myself knowing it makes both of my girls happy, I make sure to grab my handbag where I always keep Novas epipen and her headphones in case she gets overwhelmed today as there will be loads of people around

Nova decided she wanted to go on all the big rides and I was absolutely terrified so Colin offered to go on the rides Nova wanted to go on as I went on the kiddy rides with Rose and there was a few times where we have run into them and Colin looks like he was going to puke whilst Nova was jumping up and down with excitement

Novas Pov

The theme park was amazing and I dragged Colin onto the big rides and I loved it and most of the time I was laughing at Colin screaming, Scarlett was scared of all these rides so she went on the baby rides with Rose and at times I could see she was even scared of them

After a few rides Colin tells us that we were going to meet up with Scarlett and Rose for lunch as he doesn't want me passing out especially with the rides which I find funny considering he actually did pass out on the rollercoaster not me and I taunt him with that til we get to Scarlett who is looking at Colin who looks fed up
