Scarletts pov

I was currently waiting for Novas plane to land, it had been 2 weeks now and tomorrow is the day of the adoption hearing, I came here to have dinner with her before Lizzie takes her back to hers for the night, Lizzie texted me that they just landed and they are coming out so i stood there waiting to see my little girl again

I saw her walking and Lizzie told me that she wasnt going to tell Nova so it was a surprise for her, she wasnt really looking where she was going because she was on her phone so it was perfect

"Nova we are here now" i hear Lizzie tell her and she looks around to see they are at the exit of the airport and i do a loud whistle using my fingers to get her attention that im standing here and i see her look over at me and she dropped everything out of her hands and ran to me jumping into my arms

"I miss you so much Nova bear" i told her as i held her closer to me never wanting to let her go and i see Lizzie walk up to us with her hands full now with Novas luggage she dumped on the floor, i position Nova on my hip before helping Lizzie put some of the bags in the truck and i help Nova into the backseat giving her a kiss on the forehead

We headed to dinner and Nova was telling me about what her and Lizzie did in the days as she was suspended from school and they just said they went for walks and watched movies which is what i thought they would have done anyways, after we eat i drop them both to Lizzies house were i stay for a couple hours before i have to head home and sleep because we have to be up early for the hearing tomorrow but i tucked Nova in bed before i left

"Scarly you know i am 15 i can tuck myself in" Nova stated smiling a little and i kissed the top of her head before telling her "You will always be my little girl Nova bear" and she smiled before telling me she would see me in the morning, im trying not to think about the worst case scenario but what if they dont allow us to adopt her? What would we do then?

I put them thoughts to the back of mind as i drove home back to Colin, Rose was in france for another 2 weeks with her father so it was only us too, Colin was super excited that Nova was coming back to us and i knew he was the same as me and already saw her as a daughter as soon as we met her, i still remember the night so clearly when they met for the first time and Colin was fan girling over her british accent but then it wasnt a great time after that when she punched the wall and ended up with a broken hand

"Hey babe is Nova alright?" he asked as soon as i stepped into the kitchen and i nodded, i couldnt help the smile that took over my face as i leaned into his side as he stirred the pasta that he was making and we continued to talk about Nova and what we need to say tomorrow for the hearing until we decided we should go to bed otherwise we will be tired for tomorrow, i sent a goodnight message to Nova even though i knew she was asleep as Lizzie texted me sending me a picture of her sleeping with the teddy i had got her and my heart literally melted as i knew Nova was coming tomorrow and she would officially be my daughter, the rest of the cast dont know about this its only Evans ,Florence, Lizzie who do know because i want to tell them in a few months when we go back to film Endgame but i do need to figure out with Nova about this new mini series she will be doing in New York i know she was scared to tell me about it because Ryan my ex husband was going to be directing it but we are on good terms and i wouldnt let our past relationship ruin this opportunity for Nova

Me and Colin got into bed but i couldnt fall asleep as i fell into the endless rabbit hole of what if they tell us she cannot come home with us?

Novas pov

I woke up after Lizzie shook me awake telling me we have to leave in 2 hours and i hesitantly got ready as it was too early for this, we had the hearing at 9 so Lizzie wanted me up early so we are there on time but all i wanted to do was sleep right now, i did try and go back to sleep after the first time she woke me up but she ripped my covers off me and told me to get up or ill go in my pyjamas
