I woke up the next morning and my head is killing me, I decide that I was going to spend the rest of the day because I really could not be arsed to move around and I don't really want to face Scarlett right now I know she was going to be mad about the weed but in my defence I needed it for the pain for my arm and because I was upset but that one does not matter

I send a quick message to Jack asking him if he got home alright and everything

I quickly put my phone under my pillow and pretended I was still asleep because I was not in the mood to be talking right now and if Scarlett found out that I was talking to a random I met on the bench even if he is my age she will literally murder me and make me listen to a whole lecture about stranger danger and I really do not fancy that right now, I keep my breathing at a normal pace so it looks like I am sleeping still as I hear little footsteps coming towards my bed, I felt someone stroke my hair and I'm glad I was a good actor and could pretend to sleep otherwise I would have been fucked for pretending to sleep

I heard her retreat from my bed and shut the door and I wasn't stupid I kept my eyes shut for a while incase she was trying to catch me out but I acted like I was stretching over in my sleep and turned around, I opened my eye a little and saw no one was there so I pulled my phone back out and saw Jack telling me we could meet again once we both got ungrounded and he told me he got grounded for 2 weeks and I was hoping I was not grounded for longer than that but this is Scarlett we were talking about she probably would ground me for the rest of my life

It was nice to have someone to talk to, even though we had only just met last night and had some of our conversations with us just giggling because we were super high and to be honest I didn't have any friends, Alexa we all know how that ended and Harry I don't even want to speak to him right now because he picked Alexa over me without even speaking to me about the situation and listened to her lies

I sat up in bed for another 30 minutes before I heard Scarlett coming to my room again but this time I didn't act like I was sleeping it was too stressful last time but I did hide my phone again and I was going to claim I had lost it, even if Scarlett didn't believe me I would just use my old phone which I could easily just put my SIM card in there and use it until I get my phone back so either way I would be fine for a while

I saw the doorknob twisting and I knew it was time for this because I couldn't really delay it any further because they have adopted me now so I couldn't just run away and go back home if I really wanted to, Scarlett walked in and I see her give me a little smile but I did not return it because I knew this was a facade she was trying to make me think it was not going go to end in her lecturing me about my actions
