I'm sitting in my favorite spot with my favorite person. Enjoying the sunset while being held by each other.

We were just relishing the warmth of each other's skin, our slow breathing, and the pure bliss of being in each other's arms again when a song played from the background. It must have been from a food stall nearby.

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life and I thought, hey
You know this could be something

'Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away
And now I'm left with nothing

So maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time

To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone

And I'm thinking two is better than one

I remember every look upon your face
The way you roll your eyes, the way you taste
You make it hard for breathing

'Cause when I close my eyes and drift away
I think of you and everything's okay
I'm finally now believing

That maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one

But there's so much time

To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone

And I'm thinking two is better than one

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life and I thought, hey

"The song says it all," she smiled after breaking away from our kiss.

"I will never forget the first day I saw you, because in that very moment I knew. You're the person I want to be with every step of the way."

She continued as she was wiping away my tears.

"Against all odds," I answered as I held her closer.

Just like in my vow.

"Always," she said, stroking my back.

"Always."

I tucked her hair behind her ear before giving her one last long kiss.

We went back home together. I feel like my heart is about to explode because of the euphoria I am in right now. Just like I said, I am going to get her back, and we will fill this house with love and laughter.

We didn't do anything that night. We just laid on our bed as we listened to each other's heartbeat.

"Will you promise me forever?"

I asked Ella as I was drawing circles on her skin.

"As long as you want me to."

She answered and sealed it with a kiss.

"Why do you always have the right words?"

I said. Lightly hitting her arms because of all the butterflies flipping in my stomach.

"I have the right person to say them to."

She replied, looking at me as if the whole universe had just unfolded in front of her.

"Thank you for taking me back home."

She sincerely spoke.

"You are my home."

I said it with a teary eye. My voice almost cracked.

"Why did you go back?"

Now, I'm already crying.

"Because no matter how many miles we've been apart or how long it has been, you're still the one I want to go home to. The person I want to love every single day. The person I want to live for. I love you so much, Margarett. A life without you is nothing but just pure emptiness and utter darkness. I had to leave and get lost in order for me to find my way back to you again. So from now on, I'll stay."

This is exactly what I wanted. The pain I've suffered and endured is nothing compared to the happiness I'm feeling right now. With Ella right next to me, I could never really ask for more.
