Around three years had passed, and cooperation with the Demon Slayer Corp was going smoothly. Although the communication that reached you was limited, as most of the work was assigned to...
"Mistress! What about this design?"
"I drew a new painting!"
"Excuse me, Master. I'd like to show you the firearm I made!"
Those three. Shiori, Chinatsu, and Kinzo, your own personally made demon subordinates, yet they seem to treat you like some quirky aunt rather than a master.
"Come, come, show me what you got. I'll be taking a little trip soon, so hurry." You ordered as you immediately went to lounge on a giant cushion you requested from Shiori. They immediately scrambled before you—holding their items out to you like a child showing their parents their drawing. Except you don't have to smile before sticking it on a fridge for their comfort.
You held up the item and gazed at it. It was a kasa hat you had requested previously to assist with roaming around outside in broad daylight. The frame seemed to be wooden slats with a thin veil of lacquer over it, then painted black. For the actual hat part, it seemed to be washi paper, the hue a cold dark blue, yet the underside was noted for cute little stars to fit with your theme. A long black veil that, if held up, would fall just above your feet, was attached with intricate embroidery clearly woven with patience. It was perfect.
"Good job." You praised the weaver. "And just on time. I'll be using this when I go out. And you are really sure that this will help block the sun?"
"Of course! I tested it myself and as you can tell, I am not dead."
"Indeed, you are not. Stupid to test it on yourself, but love the enthusiasm. Next!" You ordered, Chinatsu immediately pushed Shiori out of the way and handed you a painting. You had bought her some foreign paint recently that she had clearly used. What lay before you was beautiful artwork of... yourself? It seemed to be you facing away and praying to the moon and stars while kneeling on a crystal blue lake—the lack of any warm colours left a very somber feeling.
"What do you think? I believe it would sell for a lot." Chinatsu shyly asked, twiddling her thumbs. You simply patted her head and smiled.
"It's amazing. Not sure if people would want a painting of me, but it's not like they can see my face... however, I am extremely stunning, so who knows." Arrogance took over your soul for a moment before the immediate regret and self-loathing hit you like a single shot of vodka hits a lightweight.
"Now it's my turn, check out this! The newest model of my demon-killing guns," Kinzo exclaimed, holding what looked to be a type of Arisaka Rifle up to you.
"Is it loaded?"
"No, Master."
"Have you tested it? Bullets, unless it's something like a shotgun, can't blow limbs off a demon." You interrogated, naturally activating your still unnamed blood demon art, as the perks of killing an old upper moon 3 and absorbing them were that you could analyse things more closely with your divination. "Oh, is this–"
"Yup, I laced the inside with my blood demon art, and the bullets are imbued with wisteria. So as soon as you shoot a demon, wisteria-covered spikes explode in them like brambles." He explained, you concerned with the enjoyment he's taking in explaining, though you aren't too much better, as assaulting Gyokko was basically your hobby now. You're actually worse.
You instantly put the gun down, despite knowing it wasn't loaded, you weren't gonna risk getting Gae Bolg-ed unless it was by Lancer himself. You high-fived Kinzo before getting up, taking the kasa hat with you.
