Tatum woke up obscenely warm. Warmer than normal. She knew the cause of it was going to be one of two things, either the pain currently shooting through her body, well overdue her painkillers. Or the body of the Irish woman currently fast asleep on her chest, arm thrown over her waist. The big bad Katie McCabe is such a cuddler.
Last night the two had ordered Taco's, which Tatum could tell that Katie didn't eat often as the juices dropped all over her hoodie.
No gay jokes, please.
Tatum already got pinched on the thigh for that.
After eating, Tatum had gotten really tired, everything from the day catching up with her. So Katie had instucted her to go get in bed and Katie would bring up her painkillers. Which she did. And then helped herself to Tatum's bed, joining the girl who was laying flat on her back. Katie had said since she'd travelled to another country, she shouldn't have to sleep on the couch.
Tatum didn't have the energy to argue even if she wanted to. Which she didn't. So instead she wrapped her good arm around Katie's shoulder and allowed the girl to wrap herself around her as the two quickly fell asleep.
Bringing them to now.
"Can you turn the volume of your brain down, please?" Katie mumbled, eyes still closed as she moved her hand to under Tatum's shirt and rubbed the warm skin there.
"Can you turn your body heat down, please?"
"See, you English are never happy with any temperature." Katie said with a grown as she rolled away from Tatum and sat up, not wanting to admit she was overheating too.
"Yes, but here we have..." Tatum trailed off as she tried to move her good arm across her body to open the bedside draw on the side of her bad shoulder. She grunted in effort as she tried to swing her arm around with momentum to open the drawer without moving her body. "One second." She tried again, her finger tips just brushing the drawer handle. "We have..." She couldn't get any closer but she wasn't giving up, continuously trying to stretch her arm across her body, wishing it would mysteriously grow a few inches.
"This is painful." Katie eventually interupted after watching the girl struggle for a minute. She got onto her knee's and reached over Tatum's body to open the drawer. "What are you trying to get?"
Tatum's head flopped back. "The white remote, please." Katie nodded and grabbed the small white remote and handed it back to Tatum who quickly pressed a few button and smirked when the sound of air flowing through the room broke the silence.
"We have...aircon."
Katie rolled her eyes. "It would have been so much smoother without you trying to go all stretch armstrong."
Tatum pulled a face at Katie before swinging her legs off the bed and standing up with a groan. "You snore, you know." She said as she stood up.
Katie gasped. "I fucking don't!"
"No no, you do. You always frown in your sleep, too. Angry, even when unconscious."
"Listen, you need me to help you, I'd be nice."
Tatum scoffed as she made her way towards the ensuite. "Oh please, you're so scared of going into the bad books again, you'll do fucking nothing." She finished the sentence imitating her best Connor McGreggor voice.
"Wow." Was all Katie said, not actually disputing Tatum's point. She was right, after all.
Tatum smirked to herself for her victory before going about her morning bathroom routine, going the toilet and brushing her teeth. Wasn't the easiest thing without moving her arm.
