XXVII

Nikki's POV:

A bit of time has passed since we'd left the cave-room that Lucas was hiding out at. Now, we were heading back to it, this time with the Clover kingdom guards. "Let's hope they aren't dead when we come back," Andrew said in a seemingly joking manner. "Oh, of course they aren't going to be dead. Lucas is like a stick, and somehow shorter than Jef, which is a surprise," Good said. "They're fine."

After about five-ish minutes, me, Andrew, Good, and the Clover kingdom guards had arrived at the door to the strange cave-room. It creaked when we opened it, like before, all of us making our way in. "Finally, you're back!" Jef exclaimed, covered in blood. "Evelyn!" Andrew shouted, running up to her. "What happened to your face?!" he exclaimed. "And why is Jef covered in blood?" Good yelled. I looked down at Jef. He was indeed covered in blood, but he didn't seem in pain. I then saw that he was holding something. Walking closer, I saw that it was a person . . . Jack!

"Jack!" I cried out as I quickly got to my knees, snatching his body away from Jef. "No!" I shouted, tears welling at my eyes. His skin was pale, the veins in his arms more prominent now. He had a sword in his stomach. "What happened?!" Good yelled. "It was Lucas!" Evelyn howled, pointing to the male standing in the corner. "Where did he get the sword from?" Andrew asked, holding Evelyn. "He got it out from this weird chest thing!" Evelyn replied. "So much for saying they'd be alright," Good mumbled as he pulled Jef up to his feet.

I gently placed Jack to the side, standing up. Lucas stared at me with an emotionless look. I balled up my fists, rushing towards him as I shoved the shorter male to the stone wall. "I'll kill you!" I shouted. Good slipped his hands under mine, pulling me away as the Clover kingdom guards moved forward to chain up Lucas's hands. "It's okay, Nikki. You can resurrect him," he said. "Take Evelyn's idea. Feed him to Alba," Andrew suggested. "You wouldn't dare," Lucas said as he had his hands behind his back now, chained, a Clover kingdom guard gripping onto him. "I'm your brother, Nikki! You can't have me die in such a way!" Lucas exclaimed. "Don't you love me?" he asked.

"I used to, but now, it's clear to me that you're nothing but a heartless monster!" I cried as I picked up Jack again, grunting at his weight. "I guess I'll just have to drag you. I'm sorry, Jack, but you'll be back soon, and I'll make sure of that," I muttered. "Take him to the boat," I announced. With that, the Clover kingdom guards started to drag the angry Lucas out of the cave to the boat, Lucas shouting the whole time.
