Jack's POV:

Me, Evelyn, and Jef were stuck with Lucas until the others came back with the Clover kingdoms guards. It was silent for a few minutes, us all just standing there, until the sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the cave-room. I brought up my phone again, shining its light around. Jef and Evelyn weren't moving around, and I wasn't either, so that meant Lucas was walking around. I shined my light towards the area I'd last seen Lucas, but he wasn't there. In a panic, I swung my phone around, its light moving from place to place quickly.

The light then shined on a lump near the table with the strangely shaped glass bottles on it. Lucas was on his knees, digging into a small, dusty black chest that was resting next to the table. "What are you doing?" I asked hesitantly. Lucas didn't reply, pulling something out of the chest. He closed it, the top of the chest making a bang! sound as it slammed shut. Lucas had a sword.

Goods POV:

"So, let me get this straight. Lucas was the one who bombed the kingdoms?" Ant asked. "Correct," I responded. We were close to the boat, leaves crunching under our shoes as we walked through the trees. The sounds of birds chirping filled my ears, occasionally the sounds of other animals nearby being heard. We saw a deer munching on some grass and we even heard a squirrel squeak and saw it run up a tree! "Was it a good idea leaving them back there with that maniac?" Andrew asked. "There's three of them and one of Lucas, they'll be fine," Nikki said.

Jacks POV:

"He's got a weapon!" I shouted. "Look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way," Lucas said, holding a sword with a steel blade and brown handle. "You can let me flee this cave with no problems, or you can get a sword to your back. Which one's it gonna be?" he threatened. I glanced back at Jef and Evelyn, both looking tentative. We couldn't let him leave, though! I made a hissing sound with my tongue. " . . . Evelyn, . . . grab the bottles," I announced. "Wrong choice," Lucas growled, charging towards both of us.

He swung the sword at me, but I moved to the side, Jef tugged at the sword's handle. Lucas kicked him in the stomach, the male now holding his abdomen on the floor in the fetal position, hissing in pain. Evelyn grabbed one of the glass bottles, throwing it in Lucas's direction. It shattered against the wall next to him, the shards shattered under his feet. "Shit!" he shouted, pushing the glass to the corner with his foot.

Evelyn and I moved towards him, Evelyn carrying another one of the bottles. I grabbed at his sword, Evelyn hitting Lucas on the head with the bottle multiple times. Lucas shouted, ripping the sword away from me as he swung it at Evelyn. The queen screeched as her cheek and the bridge of her nose was now red.

Jefs's POV:

"Evelyn!" Jack yelled. He plunged towards Lucas, both of them tumbling to the floor. The sword fell out of Lucas's hands with a cling. Jack began to punch Lucas repeatedly. He looked to the side, blood trickling down the side of his face. Lucas reached for the sword, struggling under the larger male. Eventually, he reached just enough to grab it. "Jack, watch out!" I shouted as I got to my knees from the floor.

Lucas had grabbed the sword, plunging it deep into Jack's back. Evelyn gasped, blood pouring down her face. Jack shrieked, his body freezing. Lucas pushed him off, quickly getting to his feet. Jack let out strangled breaths, a pool of blood beginning to flow out onto the floor underneath him. I rushed towards Jack, pulling him up so that he was leaning against me. "Jack!" I shouted, shaking his body, but he was unresponsive. Jack was dead.
