Chapter 27

Elana's POV:

( During training)

Layah beat me! That sorry excuse for a sister beat me! Honestly I can't believe it. Now I know I may sound hateful sometimes, well all the time , but I'm still shocked . What I can't comprehend is that her wolf was beautiful , and HUGE. She was easily twice my size. The only reason I hate Layah now is because she's better than me.

I know I always bully her but I honestly think she prettier and more in shape. That's just more competition that I don't need . And not only that Luke is her mate. I HAD HIM FIRST! She can't just come in and take what's mine something has to be done about this .

Layah called me over to do a demonstration with her. I didn't expect her to beat me but she did. She's to much competition I can't just talk to her she'll get suspicious and we already don't like each other. Ugh this is not going to be easy.

Layah's POV:

It was now 7:30.I went up stairs and got ready for my date . I honestly hate calling it that , and I don't know why I agreed to it. Why am I doing this. I finished my shower and put on some black skinny jeans, combat boots , a layered ruffled white, and a leather jacket. I pulled my hair up in a bun am put on lip gloss.

I walked down stairs and was greeted by a already excited Luke. He was wearing dark blue jeans , a buttoned up plaid shirt , some converse , and a hoodie.

"You ready?" He asked looking up from the ground smiling

"Yeah ,let's go"

We walked towards the door and I opened it. I walked out first followed by Luke and he turned around to lock the door.

We walked towards his black BMW. He unlocked the door and we got in. He started the car up and we were headed towards the movies.

The drive there was silent. There was really nothing to say. It was an awkward silence. It was actually quite comfortable. We arrived at the movies and decided we wanted to see Snow White and the Huntsman. Good movie choice huh?

We went to theatre 5 and picked some seats in the middle so the screen was perfect to see everything.

"Thanks for agreeing to come with me. Thanks for giving me a chance" Luke said placing his hand over mine and looking me in my eyes. I tried to ignore the sparks running up my ham and arm. I felt them and I knew Luke did too because I felt him shiver. I looked down at his hand and mine and couldn't help but notice how perfect they fit together.

"No problem" I said smiling back at him.

He smiled a reassuring smile and me and suddenly the lights dimmed. The movie finally started.

We sat and watched the movie and I got comfortable in my seat and I didn't bother moving his hand or mine . I liked the way it felt .

About half way into the movie I started to get a bad feeling . Like something was wrong . I noticed Luke felt it to because I felt him stiffen.

"You feel it too. A feeling that-

"Something's wrong " I automatically finished his sentence . My first though . Rouges.

Suddenly Jace mind linked me telling me to get home now.

He didn't even get to finish his sentence because me and Luke were already heading home driving like a bat out of west hell.

How dare they! They want to hurt what's mine? Not on my watch!

We quickly got home in less than twenty minutes . As we pulled up there was chaos everywhere. Wolves fighting in both forms, human and wolf.

I was furious . I jumped out the car, ripped my jacket off and instantly pulled out my knives in my boots and went into battle. Luke switched Into wolf form and fought. As I approached a wild he snarled at me and I growled and stabbed him in the back and snapping his neck killing him instantly. A rouge in human form snuck me from behind and grabbed me. I quickly turned around and was faced with a female rouge.

I frowned and snarled at her and she charged me. I kicked her legs out from under her.

"You disgust me" I growled lowly at her before i kicked her in the head , hard, and killing her . That made me even more furious . I looked around to see all pack member s fighting except young children , and unable s one fighting. I glanced over at Luke to make sure he was okay. He was busy breaking a wolfs neck.

I know I didn't care for him that much but ill be damned if someone kills or hurts anything that belongs to me. I also glanced somewhere else and saw Jace , K.C , and Jaxon fighting like never before . I shifted into my white wolf and charges at a unsuspecting rouge . He was surprised and quickly retaliated my biting my leg. I yelped and the wolf was quickly thrown off of me by a beautiful solid black wolf with bright green eyes. From the power radiating off of him I can tell who it was . Luke. He bit the rouges neck until he stopped moving . Luke turned and nodded at me and in return I licked him on his cheek . Kind of like a kiss. He looked shocked before he licked me back and turned around and ran off to fight another rouge.

I shifted back into human form and looked at my leg. It was bleeding but I could handle it. Something I also didn't know was I was shot in my side. I could handle the shot , I've been shot before. But something was different . It was burning! Silver . I was shot by a silver bullet!

"Shit! Dammit this hurts" I hissed to my self as I touched the wound . My vision was going blurry and I was fading in and out of clear too blurry vision. I was losing blood , and quick.

I was going to fight until I couldn't stand . And that's why I did and will so. A rouge ran up to me and swung at me. I swung back and hit him in the jaw, and I heard it crack. I vision blurred and I saw him reach for something on his side and before I could react I felt a horrible burn in my stomach . I looked down and saw a silver knife buried into my stomach. I looked at him and back at the knife. He had a smug and victorious look on his face.

"Time to go to sleep baby girl "he said to me with a smirk on his lips.

"Fuck you" I retorted . I tried to yell it but it came in a hoarse whisper.

"Thanks for the offer, I would take it , but looks like you're about to die" he said and quickly snatched the knife out of my stomach . I touched the stab wound and I dropped to the ground landing on my back. It burned and all I wanted to do is sleep.

I looked up at him standing over me smirking down on me.

"Goodnight little kitten" he said menacingly at me

"You're gonna rot and burn in hell " I spat at him

"I'll meet you there" he said smirking at me. I looked around at the chaos around me and saw trees and buildings up in flames. My vision blurred again . I have to stay awake

Luke's POV

As soon as we pulled up to the house Layah jumped out and started fighting . She was strong a beautiful fighting those rouges. She's just what I need. I jumped out and started fighting too. The only time I had to help is when she got bit. I helped her and she kissed me , I was shocked but I kissed back and ran away. I heard a gun shot but thought nothing of it. I was fighting when I felt a sharp burning pain in my side then in my stomach. I looked down but nothing was there . I looked for Layah and saw her in the ground bleeding from her side and stomach . I was furious ! Who in the hell is he to hurt what's mine ? My mate?! Not on my watch and he was going to die at my hands......
