Chapter 39

Layah's POV:

Today was the day. This ongoing problem is going to end today. I was so alert. I couldn't think straight all day. I takes to Luke and the guys and the entire pack and wished them good luck. They returned the favor.

It was around 6:00 and I decided to go check the border around the house . I was on alert , I had no idea what he was planning . It's been a while and I haven't seen a sign of him yet.

I was checking the border around the house when a noise caught my attention. It was a ruffling . I turned around standing there was no other than Nemis.

"Well well well Layah. I guess I wasn't gonna see the last of you" he spoke

Before I responded I mind linked the guys and told them to get everyone to saftey immediately and told my fighters to be ready . They didn't ask . They already knew why.

"I guess I want seeing the last of you either " I replied

"I hope your ready" he said and smirked menacingly

Not thirty seconds later the battle bell rang I looked at him and growled. I launched for him but he was gone. I had already started to hear the sounds of battle start . Yelling , cursing , growling , and snarling .

I reacted quickly and ran towards the noise.

I ran towards the front of the pack house and instantly saw chaos. Fighting every where. Gun shots wringing out. I was furious . I only was looking for one person and one only

Nemis....

I walked through the crowd of rouges my pack members. A rouge launched at me and I sidestepped him and kicked him in the neck sending him flying to the ground motionless.

I stalked through the crowed and got into what I thought was the center and heard a voice speak.

" looking for me are you? " I whipped around to the voice and there he stood.

"Enough talking" I growled and attacked him

He sidestepped me and kicked me down. I tried to grab his leg and stab him but he kicked me in the stomach. I crawled up on my hand and knees out of breath trying to regain my breath.

"Just give up Layah , you're not gonna win anyway." He smirked at me

"Never" I growled

I tried to thrown my self an punch him but he beat me to it and punched me in the lip. He kicked my legs out from under me making me fall on my back. I didn't know I fell that hard until I started to cough up blood . Only a little not enough to be worried about.

"You're not gonna win. I always win Layah"

I didn't see him come over to me and put his foot to my neck pressing down semi hard it hurt like hell and I could breath.

He bent down closer to me putting more pressure in my neck.

"You make me sick . All you had to do was give up. You have way to much heart. You're nothing! Why won't you just die and give up like you did last time. I hour have killed you when you were a baby . When you had no sense . Maybe your should just give up.Then your death won't be so painful. Give up just like your parents did when I killed them." He spat at me.

After he said what He said about my parents a tear slipped from my eye and he released his grip from my neck. I crawled in a ball and gasped for air. Blood was dripping from my lip and from a cut on my cheek maybe I should just give up. I looked around at the fighting and noticed me and Nemis looked as if we were in a invisible circle no one would dare penetrate . I looked over as saw Luke he saw me and looked with pity and sympathy and quickly looked away.

*no you won't Layah listen to me this is your mother and father speaking . Don't forget your powers Layah use them stay strong Layah . Get mad use your powers*. A voice I assumed were my parents spoke to me.

"You're so weak . I don't even want to look at you" he spat at me .

That was the last straw . I was furious . I could feel my temperature rising and my eyes change color. I stood up and spit the blood from my mouth on the ground and cracked my neck .

He was going to pay for everything he just said

And boy payback is a bitch....
