Chap 36

Luke's POV(The next day):

I woke up the next morning still feeling of upset. I felt upset because not only did I order Layah to do something like I owned her she said I was no alpha of her which was the truth. I admit I did her wrong in the past and nobody could get over that pain you put someone through. We had a fight and she stormed out of the room.

But what I couldn't understand is one minute her eyes were greenish-yellow and the next they were fire red. It kind of freaked me out. Also when I read her mind some information I could read which was also wierd because I can usually pick up on everything .

The day went by quick and from 4:30-6:00 we trained vigorously. Some I told everyone about the suspected attack in a month some got so angry all they though about was killing his pack which were rogues . I myself couldn't stand rogues they always think they're so tough . Ha oh ill show them tuff.

I needed some time alone do I decided to go work out in the gym. I drove 20 minutes to the near by gym . I worked out for about 2 hours before I decided to go home. I walked out of the gym with one headphone still in and one out. I was checking something on my phone when something whipped past me. It shocked me and I turned around to see nothing . I was on edge now something whizzed past me again and I turned to see a man with slicked black hair and in all black . I sliding his pants , shoes, and shirt.

I already knew who he was from Layah's thoughts .

"Well hello Luke"he said trying to sound nice but failing terribly.

"Nemis" I said growling .

"Hmm seems we already know each other , no need to get acquainted" he said smirking at me

"Tell me Luke , how do you know me?" He asked

"You confronted my mate , Layah, I know that name rings a bell" I snarled at him

"So you are the pathetic mate huh?"

"Oh please you're just jealous because Layah's parents didn't allow you to take her."

"And you're completely right about that" he said

"Skip the talking , I'm warning you now Nemis you hurt anything if mine it's gonna be me and you" I snarled

"Woah big boy , save that for the battle in less than a month now . Make sure your ready" and with that in a blink of an eye he was gone. Ok now I'm pissed . He thinks he's gonna get past me without me being angry ? He's out of his mind! I rushed home . I had to tell her.

I found her in the back yard training and pulled her to the side.

"I saw him. He confronted me . He told me I better be ready " I babbled out

"Who Nemis?" She asked panicked

"Yes "

"That bastard" she snapped out at no one in particular

"What will we do?" I asked her

"It's nothing we can do until the battle , just train harder and that's exactly what we'll do. " she said and started to walk away

"Oh and Luke I'm sorry. " she said looking down

"It's fine " I said smiling at her

"But you have to make it up to me" I said

"How ?" She asked looking up at me

"Gimme a kiss" I said looking at her like a a three year old

"No" she said

I looked at her and started pouting . That always gets her.

"Fine!" She gave in . She gave me a quick peck and went back to training. I swear I can't bear to lose that girl again .

The day went by fast and before I knew it , it was time to go to bed. I quickly took a shower. I couldn't help but think about things that were happening here. Was everything truly gonna be okay ? Ugh. Why did being an alpha have to be so hard...?
