~ Chapter 28 ~ The Serpent path

Back on Serpent Path Alexandria's crew was unaware that Captain Elara and the **Iron Tempest** were closing in. As they began exploring the island's treacherous terrain, they had no idea that their most dangerous enemy yet was about to strike.

As Alexandria's crew docked at Serpent Path an uneasy tension hung in the air. The island loomed before them, its dark cliffs barely visible through the thick fog, while strange, ominous sounds echoed from the jungle.

- Alexandria : This place... it feels like a trap. Stay on guard, everyone."

The crew split into two groups. Sophie Theo and Keoni remain behind to protect the ship while Alexandria Eli Razor Jax Lucy Belle and Hilda ventured deeper into the island, navigating the twisted trees and rocky terrain in search of the ancient ruins.

Unknown  to them, Captain Elara and her crew were not far behind, pursuing the same prize. But Alexandria and her crew had no idea they weren't alone in seeking the secrets of **Serpent Path**.

As they entered the dense jungle, an eerie silence fell around them. The only sound was the soft crunch of leaves underfoot and the distant crash of waves against the cliffs.

- Lucy  : I don't like this place. It's too quiet."

- Jax : Keep your eyes open. We don't know what's waiting for us."

They made their way toward the ruins described in the journal, passing ancient stone carvings and overgrown paths that seemed long forgotten. The further they went, the more uneasy they felt. It was as if the island itself was watching them, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Finally, they reached the ancient ruins—a massive stone structure hidden beneath layers of vines and moss. The crew stared up at the towering pillars and crumbled walls, their awe momentarily overpowering their fear.

- Belle : These ruins... they're ancient. Older than anything I've ever seen."

- Razor : This is the place mentioned in the journal. Whatever we're looking for, it's inside."

Before they could move closer, the ground began to tremble. A loud, guttural roar echoed through the jungle, and from the shadows, a massive serpent-like creature emerged, its red eyes glowing with a menacing light.

- Eli : Get ready! We've got company!"

The serpent lunged at them, its tail crashing into the ground and sending rocks and debris flying. The crew scattered, trying to avoid its attacks.

- Lucy : This thing is huge! How do we stop it?"

- Jax : We need to find its weakness, fast!"

- Alexandria : Razor, check the journal! There has to be something about this creature!"

Razor quickly flipped through the pages, trying to find any information that could help.

- Razor : It says the guardians of this island only respond to those with a connection to the sea... that must mean you, Alex."

Alexandria hesitated, her heart racing. Could this be the moment her dormant powers awakened? She had always felt connected to the sea, but she had never been able to tap into any powers—until now.
