As Alexandria and her crew stepped into the dark passageway, the air grew colder, and the dim glow of the carvings on the stone door began to fade behind them. The narrow tunnel seemed to stretch on forever, with jagged walls closing in around them as they ventured deeper into the heart of **Serpent Path**.
- Eli : This place feels like a tomb. Are we sure this is the right way?"
- Alexandria : It has to be. The journal led us here, and the carvings... they reacted to me. There's something waiting for us down here."
As they pressed forward, the rumbling of the ground grew fainter, replaced by the eerie sound of distant water dripping from the ceiling. The faint flicker of their lanterns barely illuminated the ancient path, and the crew stayed close together, their nerves on edge.
Belle kept looking over her sketches, her eyes scanning the symbols she had drawn.
- Belle : I think these symbols are more than just a key. They're a map of this entire island. It's like... it's trying to lead us somewhere."
- Razor : Well, wherever it's leading us, I hope it's worth it. This place gives me the creeps."
Suddenly, the passage widened into a vast chamber. Massive stone statues lined the walls, their faces worn by centuries of decay, yet they still exuded a sense of watchful power. At the center of the room, a pedestal stood, illuminated by a faint, pulsing glow.
- Alexandria : This must be it."
She approached the pedestal cautiously, her heart racing as the glow intensified. As she reached out to touch it, the ground beneath them began to tremble once more, and the statues shifted, as if awakening from a long slumber.
- Eli : We've got company!"
The stone statues began to move, their ancient bodies creaking as they lumbered toward the crew.
- Razor : We've been through worse. Let's take these things down!"
The crew sprang into action, drawing their weapons as the statues advanced. Jax with his iron hand, shattered one of the statues' legs, sending it crashing to the ground. Hilda the skilled navigator, dodged the swings of another statue's massive arms, using her agility to stay ahead of its attacks.
Alexandria meanwhile, focused on the glowing pedestal. She knew there was something important about it—something they needed to unlock the deeper secret of Serpent Path. With a quick glance at Belle she nodded.
- Alexandria : Cover me! I need to figure this out."
Belle, Eli, and the others fought off the statues, giving Alexandria the time she needed. Her heart pounded as she placed her hand on the pedestal, feeling the ancient power coursing through it. The glow grew brighter, and suddenly, the ground stopped shaking.
The statues froze in place, their glowing eyes dimming as the room fell silent once more. The crew stood still, breathing heavily, as the power from the pedestal surged through Alexandria's hand.
- Eli : Did... did you just stop them?"
- Alexandria : I think so. There's something about this pedestal—it's connected to me, to my powers."
