The Search Begins

Razor's team set sail for the Jagged Isles, navigating through rough waters and heavy fog. Despite their confidence, the journey was fraught with danger. Meanwhile, Hilda's group approached the Bloodstone Coves with caution, avoiding navy patrols as they searched for clues.

Back on The Whisper, Sophie worked alongside Belle and Lucy to organize their next moves. Lucy prepared meals to keep morale high, while Belle pored over maps, piecing together patterns in Mordecai's movements.

Belle tapped her pen against the map. "He's not hiding. He's taunting us. Every poster, every rumor—it's a trap."

Jax leaned against the wall. "Then we change the rules. Hit him where he doesn't expect."

The Crew's Resolve

Eli called the crew together once more, his voice strong and unwavering. "This won't be easy, but we're not giving up. Alex wouldn't give up on us, and we won't give up on her."

The crew cheered, their determination renewed. But as the days stretched on, the stakes grew higher, and the challenges ahead loomed darker.

As Eli finalized the search plans, Belle tapped her finger on the map spread across the table. "We need a meeting point. Somewhere isolated but accessible for all the teams. If things go south, we'll need a fallback location."

Razor leaned in, studying the chart. "How about Skullshade Cove? It's tucked away and not well-known. Only smugglers and a few pirate crews know about it."

Hilda nodded. "Good choice. It's remote enough to avoid the navy's radar, but close enough for us to regroup quickly."

Eli agreed. "Skullshade Cove it is. We'll give everyone three days to search their assigned locations. If we don't find anything, we regroup there."

Belle chimed in. "We should set up a secret code for communication. If Mordecai has spies, we can't risk open messages."

Sophie, from her seat beside Theo, added, "We could use something subtle, like sea chart coordinates combined with a keyword. Something that only we would understand."

Theo nodded. "And we should use the devices Elara's mechanic provided. They're primitive, but they work."

Jax smirked. "Primitive? They're ridiculous. We're talking about talking crabs, not devices."

Laughter rippled through the crew. Elara's crew had introduced them to "crustacean communicators"—mechanical crabs outfitted with tiny compartments for secret notes or simple recordings. They scuttled across ships and even swam short distances to deliver messages.

Lucy grinned. "Ridiculous or not, they've saved us before. Let's stick with the crabs."

Belle added, "We'll assign each team a keyword. That way, if a message falls into the wrong hands, it won't mean anything without the rest of the code."

Eli looked around the room, his expression serious. "Alright. The crabs will carry our messages. Each team, remember your keyword and meeting point. We'll use 'harbor' for Razor's team, 'reef' for Hilda's, and 'storm' for us here. If you hear 'anchor,' it means danger—return immediately."
