"Hello and welcome to the Reacap Show with Jonny Casto-Ardern. Todays top story. A 28 year old man has been reported as missing after no contact with family lead to them calling the police. Mumbo Jumbo, an engineer who works at Redstone Technologies, is assumed to have dissapered just last night. He is no stranger to loss, a year ago him roomate died in..." the Radio crackled as the channels were flipped.

Different songs, interviews and happier stories were flicked past. Eventually, the feedback ended as the radio was turned off.

She pulled herself up, out of bed and off to the bathroom. Cold water rushed from the shower head and after some adjustments, the water was a perfect temperature.

Afterwards, the humid air stayed trapped in the bathroom as she brushed her teeth. Not bothering to wipe the condensation off of the mirror.

Today wasn't the best day for her. Waking up to that bad news about someone she didn't even know started it. It lead her to thinking about her husband.

Ever since he died, life hasn't been the same. What used to feel like flying over all her worries, now felt like inching through tar.

She had friends to help her through it. That was good. One of them, her husband's best friend would phone her. Everyday he would call at exactly 8AM to have a chat before they both had to leave for work.

And right on the dot, the phone began to ring. Picked up almost instantly by the woman who was waiting expectantly next to it.

"Hey Lizzie"

"Hey Jim"

"How are you today? The suns out so that would be pretty nice to wake up to."

"I wish, woke up to the radio telling me about some guy who went missing last night. I just... everything reminds me of him."

"I get it. After Joels death, nothing has really been the same. But, you know he wouldn't want you to be sad."

"I try, I do. But there is a massive difference from waking with him to waking up alone. Its been weeks and I just can't get over it."

"He's your husband. Of course you will feel lonely without him. But you know, he will always care about you. No matter where he is."

"Never thought you could get that deep."

"Well, what can I say? Tell you he is dead and you should just get over it? No, no one deserves that."

A chuckle came from Lizzies side, "Well, anyway. I need to leave for work. Thank you, Jim."

"I will always be here for you. See ya!"

"Bye"

The phone was hung up and off she went to catch the train.

He could see nothing. The night made the room dark and cold and with nothing to warm himself up with, it was sure to be a very, very unpleasant time.

Mumbo had been riding around on his bike just before he went to bed. Work had been stressful lately and cycling was a way he could get away from it all.

He went out and lost track of time pretty quickly. And with the loss of time went his sense of direction. The night got dark fast and pretty soon he was in a neighborhood he had never seen before.

All of the lights in the houses were off. There was no where he could go to ask for directions. He knew how to survive in the wild but he didn't have any equipment.

So although he could. It shouldnt be his first port of call. He just had to find some sort of roof over his head. No matter what it was.

And soon, that came to him. It looked pretty gungy and falling apart. Abandoned from what he could tell. So in he went.
