'Right before I close my eyes,
The only thing that's on my mind,
been dreaming that you feel it too,
I wonder what it's like to be loved by you'

Song: Wonder - Shawn Mendes.

"Come on love, let's get you to bed" H said from beside me

"Come on love, let's get you to bed" H said from beside me. We had all finished eating and everyone else bar H, Jax and myself had left the table.

"I don't want to" I pouted "I want ice cream" That would have to be the one thing I missed most about this new world we lived in, access to food was limited and we had to grow or make everything ourselves and some things were obviously more of a priority than others and right now ice cream was at the top of my priority list.

"Oh I miss ice cream" Jax whined from across the table.

"Ugh we don't have ice cream, you know that" H sighed. I think he was getting a little fed up with Jax and I because we had been saying the craziest things since we'd arrived. "I can't believe you two went and got high without me" He looked between the two of us and I'd say he looked a little hurt.

"Well If you weren't avoiding me then maybe you could've joined us" I threw back at him which seemed to shock him a little.

"And that's my que to leave, goodnight my beautiful people" Jax announced as he stood up and took off out the door. I stood up too but I had forgotten about my sore ankle so I winced in pain as I got to my feet but of course H noticed straight away.

"Are you okay?" H questioned, he put his strong arm around me to hold me up.

"Just a sore ankle" I shrugged "Jax tipped me off the hammock" I laughed as I remembered the ridiculous scene but H wasn't laughing.

"Fucking Jax" He growled.

"Hey relax" I said rubbing his face with my hand "It was an accident and it was really funny, I'll be fine" I started walking forward to show him I was completely fine but he still kept his arm around he in support as we made our way back to my hut.

The sun had completely set by now which meant the air was cold but I wasn't worried, last year I was freaked out at this time of the year with it coming into winter, I wasn't sure how Avery, Willow and I were going to survive. The cold weather meant the garden wouldn't grow the fruits and vegetables, there wasn't enough feed for the animals, the chickens stopped laying. Last year I did everything I could to be prepared but this year I didn't have to, I had a big muscly, very handsome leader of a safe compound who would seemingly do anything to keep us safe, along with his equally muscly and equally handsome gang of friends.

I couldn't help but think how scared I was when I first came here and now here I was just a short while later knowing that I could trust any of these guys with my life, oh how things change. I knew there was still a lot that I didn't know about H but the fact that Jax said he had never trusted anyone else with such private information did make me feel a little special, I may not know his real favourite colour or even his actual name but I did know the little things he'd do that made him, him. The way he'd tap his boot on the ground when he was impatient, the way he pulled me closer to him in his sleep or the way he would twist the rings around on his fingers when he was nervous or trying to find the words to say.
