I pretended all day like I hadn't heard what H had said last night, it was easier that way. I had convinced myself that it meant nothing, he was drunk and I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to hear him anyway.
We ate breakfast with all the usual crew only we had been joined by Luke, Cal and Mikey who'd apparently stayed last night, it made sense, Cal and Mikey were pretty wasted due to Ash and I kicking their asses in beer pong but I wasn't even sure about Luke, I didn't see him at all last night but he must've been there because he was here now, sitting next to Jax and they were deep in conversation.
"We should all do something today" Nate suggested and everyone agreed, the issue was trying to come up with something, Cruze suggested swimming but it was too cold for that, I suggested a movie marathon but apparently that wasn't fun enough.
"We haven't been out on the bikes in a while" Jax pointed out, Cruze and Nate seemed to like that idea, the boys from Icarus Falls also agreed, H went along with it and Avery and I just shrugged our shoulders, keen to just do whatever.
We all discussed the plans, we were going to meet in an hour by the lake outside of the compound, Nate, Jax and Cruze would get the bikes and meet the rest of us there, so that's what we did. Avery and I shot home to quickly get changed, I pulled on some leggings and a hoodie which would be much more comfortable to ride in than the outfit I had been wearing, that being the same one I wore last night after sleeping at H's.
When we were ready Avery and I headed back over to find H, he was going to lead us to where we were going. Once we got to him we all walked in silence, Avery shot me a look that said 'What's going on?' and I sent her back one that was 'I'll tell you later' she seemed content with that though and we carried on.
I suddenly heard the revving of motorbikes and I turned around to see Cruze fly past laughing his ass off followed closely by Jax and Nate. The rest of us found somewhere to sit and watch while the three of them sped around like maniacs. After a while they swapped riders, letting Luke, Cal and Mikey go.
"Geez Cruze, You're a daredevil" I said as he sat down beside me "That looked so dangerous"
"Well that is my middle name" He laughed and I laughed too until I realised he was looking at me weirdly "I'm not joking"
"Wait your middle name is actually Danger?" I asked and he nodded. Wow. "Cruze Danger, what a name"
"Yeah my parents must've been on crack or some shit" He laughed.
