~Jennifer's POV

 *flashback*

Josh's mom was right. I didn't want to know what was wrong with him.

"I'm really sorry, Jennifer." She told me once I found out.

"It's okay. It wasn't anyone's fault." I told her as I wiped my hand on my cheek because of the tear falling down.

How I wish Josh would be the one to wipe it for me...

"Jennifer," She told me as she held my hand. "I'm really sorry, but we can't reverse what happened."

"I know." I told her with a tear.

"And I'm also really sorry about what I'm about to do."

"Why? What is it?" I looked at her.

"You know, because of this, we decided to make Josh a new life. We don't want him feeling sad, you know, and as much as possible, we don't want anyone getting hurt. Including you, Jen."

"Give him a new life?"

She took a deep breath. "I'm really sorry, Jen, but I think you need to leave, now. The longer you stay here and hope for a miracle, the more your heart will break. I'm sorry, Jen. But it's for your best."

I started crying a lot. She hugged me then whispered in my ear, "I'm really sorry, Jen."

I went home with a lot of tears on my face. This was too much to handle.

~Josh's POV

Jen and I had more drinks, but she was more intoxicated than I am. She drank more than I did, and I was still a bit aware of my surroundings and what's happening. We were just sitting at the bar, and we kept laughing about the little things.

"Okay, my turn." She said.

We were playing a game where we had to sing a song using only 'meows' as the lyrics, then we have to guess it.

"Meow-meow, meow-meow-meow-meow, meow-wow-wow-meow, meow-meow, meow-meow-meoooow, meow-meow!" She started singing, and I just kept laughing.

"Let me guess, MMMBop by Hanson?" I asked her.

"How did you know?! You smart cookie!" She told me, pushing my chest in the process.

"Umm, no, delicious cookie." I told her, she looked at me with a weird expression.

"You know what? I've actually heard that joke before!" She told me, a bit tipsy.

"Well, then I guess that person must be funny, too."

She laughed. "Well, he is. I know that."

"Okay, my turn." I told her.

"Meow, meo-ow, meow meow meow, meow meow!" She started laughing a lot.

"Oh, I know this one, it's part of my childhood...Bye Bye Bye by 'N Sync!"

"Wow! You liked 'N Sync, too?"
