~Josh's POV

Jen just told me everything. Her last moments with Jo.

"So you were supposed to hang out with Jo and your ex-boyfriend who is called Josh..."

"Yup."

"But then..."

"Yup." She said, slightly crying. I wiped a tear from her face.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

"Do you still like to continue?"

"Yeah, sure." She said, and I listened to her again.

~Jennifer's POV

*flashback*

I never got to see Jo alive ever again. Her body was then taken straight to the morgue, and Jo's parents started filling up the papers for her funeral. My parents helped them, being close family friends ever since they met. They started contacting every family member so they could tell them the news, and then she was ready to go after two hours.

Jo, my best friend and my worst enemy rolled into one, my other girl half, my high school hero, is now lifeless, and I'll never be able to do anything with her again.

"Jen?"

"Yeah?"

"Smile for me, please?"

"You're not around here, are you?"

"No. I just want to make sure that you're smiling."

"Okay?"

"Don't be sad, Jen. Come on, where's the happy Jen that I've known since the first year of high school?"

"She graduated." I told her over the phone with a smile.

"See? You're kidding me! There's the happy Jen I was looking for."

"Gosh, Jo, you're so weird."

"And so are you. We both are."

"Yeah, I know."

"(Hey Jo, are you ready yet?) (YEAH I'M COMING!) Sorry, Jen, that was just Josh. Jeez, he's so excited, and we're not even sure on where we're going."

"Jen, honey, are you coming with us?" My mom called out to me, and I snapped out of my daydream.

Josh.

I had to see him.

"No, mom. I'm going to stay here for a while." I told her, then she hugged me.

"Just be safe, okay?"

"Yeah, I will."

Once they went away, I went back to the hospital.

"Is Josh in there?" I told the doctor nervously.

"Who are you?" He asked me, and I didn't want to answer at first but then I thought this was necessary for me to see him.

"I'm one of his closest friends."

"I'm sorry. Only his close family is allowed to come in. Maybe after a few hours." He told me.

I sat down at the bench near his room for two hours. His mom then came out of the room. I stood up and went towards her.

"How is he?" I asked her.

"Oh, Jennifer, it's been heartbreaking." She told me with tears in her eyes.
