~Jennifer's POV

We got to Josh's house as fast as we could because we don't have umbrellas, and we were just running under the rain. Once we got to his front door, we were panting and soaking wet.

"Welcome to my humble home." He said as he turned the lights and the thermostat on.

"It's really nice." I told him.

"Thank you. Make yourself at home."

"Actually, I do need to have a change of clothes."

"Oh. That's one problem we have here - my mom's not your size. Maybe you could borrow one of my shirts?"

"That'll have to do."

He went upstairs and I looked at his photo collection. There was a picture of his whole family, one with him and his mom, one with him and his dad, one with his mom and dad, two with him and his little brother, and a lot more pictures that I've never seen before. Moments from Josh's life. It doesn't matter if it was his real or new life, what matters most is that he's alive and that he's happy and thankful to be.

"Missed me already, I see?"

"Yeah. I've been standing here for a year." I answered sarcastically.

"What are you looking at?"

"You know, just some pictures."

"Admiring how handsome I look, eh?" He told me with a wink. Damn, I could just melt then and there.

"You wish." I replied sarcastically while blushing. He chuckled and gave me the clothes he picked for me.

"Thanks." I told him. I don't care if he gave me guy clothes, at least it's clean. Plus, it was his clothes, anyway, so why would I mind?

"There's a bathroom upstairs. You can use it if you want." Josh woke me up from my daydream. I immediately said thanks and I made my way to the bathroom.

"Josh?" I called Josh when I got out of the bathroom.

"In here." I heard his voice, and I followed it. I saw him on his bed when I looked at his bedroom. He was watching television, and let me just tell you this: he was shirtless.

Hot, in other words.

"Mind if I join you?" I asked him.

"No, not at all." He replied with a smile. When I went inside his bedroom, he turned the TV off and then made a space for me. When I got in, he welcomed me into his arms and I cuddled in to him.

"I love you so much, Josh. I don't what I'll do without you."

"I love you, too, Jen, and I know you can make it without me."

"I will, but when the day ends, I'll realize how much I miss you and then start crying."

"See? You know what to do when I'm no longer here!"

"Josh!" I slapped his arm playfully. "Seriously, though, I'm trying to make a point here."

"I know. I like your point."

"So, what's going to happen next? You know, when we wake up, what will happen?"

"I don't know. I guess I'll still love you in the morning."

"Me too. But I don't know, Josh, what will other people say? Don't you think they could use our relationship to their advantage?"

"I don't know about you, but for me, I don't care what other people think, and I don't want them to use our relationship for their advantage."

"That's actually what I was also thinking. I don't want them to know about this."

"And they won't. We just have to keep it on the down low."

"That's kind of my problem." I told him with a guilty smile.

"Don't worry, I can't also stop myself sometimes when it comes to that."

"That means that we must really love each other."

"How come you always succeed in making my heart melt, Jen?"

"I don't know...I guess it's because you already did."

I suddenly realized that Josh and I have been together for almost 24 hours, and a lot has happened, if you ask me.

Who knew we were going to be together again after 5 years?

And we're actually here, lying down on his bed, my head resting on his chest, where I can hear his heart beating happily once again; his arms wrapped around my body protectively, holding me like he's going to lose me tomorrow.

But what does the future hold for the both of us?

"Jen?" He asked me.

"Yeah?"

"Can you excuse me for a second?"

"Sure."

He went out of the bed and I waited for him to come back. I sat on the side of the bed and looked at the clock. 12:00 AM. When he came back, I noticed he had a box in his hand.

"What's that?" I asked him.

"Well, you said that maybe if we didn't stupidly let go of each other...we could be engaged right now."

I knew where this was going. He opened the box and then he got down on one knee. I then covered my mouth in disbelief and happy tears started flowing from my eyes.
