"So give me all of your love, give me something to dream about."

~*~*~

"Hi Lilah girl, are you giving your mom and dad trouble?"

Luke is facetiming on his laptop when I walk in. I make sure to be extra quiet because I can tell he is talking to his niece and nephew.

"Lilah's being good today. Way's the one who's got it out for me." A soft voice spoke through the speaker. I assume it is the twins' mom. I think her name is Hallie.

Depositing my stuff on the ground I make myself comfortable on his bed. I scroll aimlessly on my phone while I wait for him to finish.

"What are you doing today?" Luke's brother asks him. From the corner of my eye I can see he is bouncing his son on his knee. Hallie was peaking her head into the frame.

"Lainey and I are gonna work on the project then I have a game. Afterwords, I'm going to head to a party but I don't know if Lainey is coming." Luke turns his head to look at me and I nod. Silently letting him know that I am also going.

"Sounds like fun."

"What are you guys doing tonight?" Luke asks. His question causes Hallie to roll her eyes. Quinn's lips twist into a smirk. Something about that tells me that whatever they are doing, it's 100% Quinn's idea.

"We are going golfing. I bought the babies their own clubs."

"You do realize they are only a year old, right?"

"I know how old my children are Luke. Do you want me to send you pictures or not."

"Please do. Bye Liliah bye Waylon."

I can hear soft babbling from the other end. I peak over to see Luke's face and I see the pure love rolling off of him. It is clear that he loves those babies.

"What?" The smile on his face is soft. It is gentle and slightly curious.

He knows that I am staring. He totally caught me being such a creep, what is wrong with me.

"Nothing. You really love those babies, huh?"

"I do. They both have parts of my brother that remind me of him, it makes me a little nostalgic. I haven't known Hallyn for very long but I consider her a bestfriend so seeing glimpses of her in the twins is like getting to know her all over again."

Luke clears his throat as if the topic is making him emotional. I chose not to comment on the wavering tone of his voice instead I just smile at him. As warm as I can muster.
