"And I gotta get one little taste. Your sugar, yes, please. Won't you come and put it down on me?"
~*~*~
Two months have flown by in the blink of an eye. Luke and I have spent practically every day of that time together. The project is officially finished and graduation is only 3 weeks away.
On this particular day I find myself where I always do. I am laying on my bed, hands tucked under my chin as Luke spins around in circles on my desk chair.
"What are you even going to wear tonight?"
Some random fraternity that I can't care less about is hosting a costume party tonight. I think it's stupid to have a costume party in the middle of spring but, who am I to judge.
"I haven't really thought about it. I was gonna go through my clothes and see if I could piece something together. What are you wearing?"
"No fucking clue." Luke and I laugh at his statement. Costume parties can be fun if you have the energy to really bring it but right now I don't have any energy. I just want to stay in my room and do nothing but I promised Luke I would go.
He pulls out his phone and begins scrolling. Flopping down on the bed so he is laying right next to me Luke shows me the screen. He is looking at halloween costumes. Although it is May we can probably find some inspiration from halloween themed costumes.
Luke suddenly gasps causing me to lean forward so I can see the phone better. I try so hard to ignore the proximity of our faces, if Luke so much as tips his head to the side we'd be kissing. That will never happen.
"What do you think?"
Smiling over at him I lean back. Putting some distance between us. "Let's do it."
"Are you fine with me carrying you like that?"
"Can you even pick me up?"
Luke scoffs like my statement is horribly disrespectful. "I might not be the biggest guy in the room but I'm stronger than you think."
"You are the only guy in the room, that doesn't give me much to go off."
Reaching down he pinches my thigh. I squeal in surprise before jumping off the bed to stand infront of him.
"You wound me, Lainey the shadow."
"Please. Your massive ego can take a few hits and still come out just fine."
