"Trying to fill a spot that he left empty, started back when I was naive. Loved him with every part of me."

"We need to talk."
"We need to talk."
Luke and I blurt out the second our arms meet and we are walking back down the aisle towards the house where the reception will take place.
The backyard has been done up completely. Lights, flowers, a makeshift dance floor. It's absolutely gorgeous.
"We are gonna have to talk and walk. Hallie has us on a strict schedule and I will not be the person to break that."
Luke looks down at me with a smile. He's not looking where we are going. I could lead him off a cliff and he still wouldn't look away from my face.
"Can I say something before we inevitably have another fight." He's being serious. He thinks I'm trying to pick a fight.
"You can say what you'd like but I'm done arguing. Fighting with you and pretending to hate you is so exhausting, especially when all I want to do is talk to you. I miss how things were."
We follow the rest of the wedding party towards the front of house. We are going to take pictures before Hallie changes. Our schedule is extremely packed for the rest of the night. Hallie wanted her wedding to be like a damn carnival, there's so many things for us to do and interact with.
Luke's wandering hand finds it way beneath my dress. His long fingers are brushing just above the curve of my ass. "You need to get a handle on that lost hand of ours. Put a leash on it before you start fingering me next to the chocolate fountain."
He chokes on his spit but doesn't move his hand any higher. "Nope that's too easy. We aren't hooking up again until we talk things out."
"I'm glad you want to talk but we are definitely not hooking up again."
I send Odessa a 'help me' look as we step in front of her and Jack. They can both see Luke's hand fiddling around beneath the fabric of my dress before he moves his hand to a more appropriate place. Realization dawns in Jack's eyes and Odessa just smirks at me.
Luke nuzzles his nose into my neck and I feel like this walk has lasted for hours when in reality we turn the corner and a second later we are crossing over into my yard, where Hallie set up our designated "get a break" station.
I thought it was stupid when she told me but I wasn't going to deny the girl a place to get away from all the chaos. My backyard has a perfect view of the ocean, void all the decorations, so we are taking pictures here.
"Never say never pretty girl. I haven't gotten a chance to get my face between those thighs and I bet you taste fantastic."
He has to catch me as I go stumbling forward. A deep chuckle rumbles out of his chest as he scoops me up and prevents me from falling flat on my face in front of the entire wedding party.
