I'm once again laying on my back out in the yard when I get a text from Hallie. She has been texting me non stop since we went dress shopping and I'm honestly not complaining.

Lainey: The same things I'm always doing.
Hallie: A couple of us are going on the lake, do you want to come? Swimming, alcohol, and hot guys...

I make my way over to Hallie's house shortly after. I've got just my bikini top on and a pair of jean shorts over my bottoms. I decided to leave my hair down. I've got to get a hair cut soon it's getting outrageous.
Knocking on the door I wait for someone to answer. I can hear yelling and a commotion inside the house and soon enough the door swings open.
My heart drops immediately into my ass. I physically take a step back as the last person I ever wanted to see again is standing in the doorway staring down at me likes he's seen a ghost.
I feel like throwing up. I want to cry and scream. There's absolutely no fucking way Luke Hughes is my neighbor. Nope, no I can't do this.
He looks so fucking good and it's physically hurting my chest. He's standing with one hand on the door the other in his pocket. Shirtless with just swim trunks on. And of course they match my swimsuit. Oh this is just awful.
"Luke what is taking so long, let the girl inside." Hallie ducks under Luke's arm and flashes me a wide smile. Her face immediately drops as she detects the horrific energy wafting off us.
"Lainey? What's wrong?"
Without looking away from me Luke turns his head slightly towards her. "Hallie this is my bestfriend Lainey Beaumont. Lainey this is my sister in law Hallyn."
