She could smell it before she could see it, among the smell of the water and wet sand it was there,  Yazmina felt hope for the first time in this hell forsaken place. Would the ruin still be there, was there going to be any trace of the magic that brought her to the poison realm. she had so many unanswered questions and no Velanos to help her figure it out.

Velanos! she yelled to herself, gods what happened to V, last time she saw him he was unconscious and she could see his outline as she felt herself being pulled into a dark void.  She only hoped that once V got free from the serpentines and she knew he would that he could find a way to get her back she had no doubts that he was hard at working trying to find a way to bring her home.

As she neared the beach she started walking faster, not paying attention to the Dylan or Jenna who were almost running to keep up, she paid no attention to the honking and noises around her as she rushed closer to the beach, she stopped when she felt her foot land on something soft and grainy, she yanked her foot back and held out her arms to stop Dylan and Jenna from stepping on it too.

"Don't move" she said to Dylan and Jenna " if you step on to it you will sink, we need to find another way around". She couldn't help the look of puzzlement on her face when Jenna started laughing and walked around her out stretched arms and said in her carefree Jenna tone "You're too funny Yaz" and ran on to the tricky terrain.

Yaz gasped when she saw that Jenna didn't sink, how can she be doing this Yaz thought, was Jenna some kind of witch or one of the lore creatures who were known to flitter between realms, Yaz looked at Jenna closely, she certainly had the small frame of the warrior lore creatures they called Fei.

She was feisty enough but she couldn't see any pointed ears or long nails that looked closer to talons, maybe her appearance changed too when she crossed realms, just as hers did. Yazmina felt her anger grow again over the loss of her wings and her horns, she felt weak in this human form and she did not like it at all.

She watched as Dylan walked on to the tricky surface too and when he didn't sink she ventured out on to it also. to her surprise she didn't sink but squished, she found this fascinating, how were they not sinking, what kind of magic was this?

She was jolted from this thought when Dylan gently took her hand and led her deeper onto the tricky terrain. He walked beside her holding her hand and it made Yazmina feel awkward and uneasy, part of her liked the way it felt but it also made her feel weak, and that was something she was not or would ever be, she quickly removed her hand from his.

Dylan was taken back when  Yazmina removed her hand from his, he held her hand before to help her navigate her way here, hell he even had his arm around her, although he was puzzled he felt this was something better left unsaid, just another perk of the instinct, it tells him when to speak and when to just shut up and this was a time to shut up.

As they made their way further down the beach Yazmina's senses started to perk up, she could feel some of her power returning, she felt her instinct rouse too, she hadn't felt it since she arrived to this hell plain but she was feeling it now. This excited her and she started to move quicker down the beach following her instinct as she felt it guide her.

She picked up her pace and could hear Jenna and Dylan rushing to keep up with her but she didn't stop, she knew something was there and suddenly it appeared. The ruin.

Dylan and Jenna stopped behind her and gasped, all them were speechless, finally Jenna broke the silence " Holy fuck, its real".
