There are no branches or leaves on the white root block, and it's impossible to identify the plant solely by the exposed soil. Its root block is much deeper than the other grass roots buried in the soil. Lu Zhan let go, and Luo Zhen stepped forward, squatting on the other side.

"Do you want to dig more?"

Luo Zhen shook his head, motioning for Lu Zhan to stop. If all the roots were dug out, he wouldn't be able to use his ability to confirm what kind of plant it was.

Today, Luo Zhen hadn't used his ability to recognize plants. When he went out in the morning, he was full and didn't feel hungry, even though he had touched this thing before (Luo Zhen wasn't sure if it was the same radish). He fainted, but he didn't want to give up this useful ability.

He took a deep breath, settled, and then stretched out his hand, gently dropping his palm on the white roots.

The surface of the root block was very smooth, and it felt a bit cool to the touch. As soon as Luo Zhen touched it, his strength seemed to drain away instantly, as if into a bottomless hole. He shook, and Lu Zhan quickly caught him, preventing him from falling into the snow again.

However, Luo Zhen didn't faint this time, nor did his stomach twitch from sudden hunger. Instead, he stared at the palm of his hand, then at the white roots buried in the soil, his face full of dismay yet confidence.

"What's the matter?" Lu Zhan asked, worried.

When others saw Luo Zhen's appearance, they wanted to talk but hesitated, not wanting to disturb each other. A Hua even pulled her animal skins tighter, her big eyes moist with worry, remembering how Luo Zhen had fainted in the snow before, afraid it might happen again.

"Too... old?" Luo Zhen murmured, as if not hearing Lu Zhan's question.

"What is Tai Sui?" Lu Zhan didn't care about the white roots. He lifted Luo Zhen up. "Are you feeling well? Do you want to go back?"

Luo Zhen shook his head quickly. Pointing to the white roots still buried in the soil, he said, "A Zhan, help me dig it out."

Tai Sui, commonly known as Ganoderma lucidum, was considered an elixir of life in ancient times.

Luo Zhen didn't know much about Tai Sui before, and had never seen it. He had only heard the name in some films and television dramas, but never imagined there would be a Tai Sui tree behind their house.

Lu Zhan had wanted to carry Luo Zhen home first. This talented individual had just woken up after being in a coma for three days, but now, after half a day, he was about to faint again, and Lu Zhan was worried.

But Luo Zhen insisted on digging out the Tai Sui tree first. Although Tai Sui looked like a plant rhizome, it could move in the soil. It was no wonder that when Axue came back, it had disappeared, and the relationship was really long. The legs ran away.

Fortunately, it didn't move fast, and it was still within the city walls after a few days.

Luo Zhen worried that Lu Zhan's actions would hurt Tai Sui, and kept a careful watch. If Lu Zhan hadn't been concerned about Luo Zhen fainting again if he touched it, Luo Zhen wouldn't have let him do it. He might have rolled up his sleeves and done it himself.

The age of this Tai Sui tree probably wasn't too long. It was only the size of an arm, round and fat, looking like a radish. It had two thick roots under its feet, really resembling it had grown two thick, round, short legs.

Luo Zhen stretched out his hand to take it but was slapped by Lu Zhan. "You're not allowed to touch it."

Luo Zhen promised, "It's already out of the soil. Even if I touch it, it'll be fine." Now Luo Zhen still didn't know how to control that ability. As long as he touched the plants growing in the ground, he would actively use it, but that required skin contact. If he wore animal skin gloves, he wouldn't be able to use it.
