The flood that submerged the Black Panther tribe began to recede slowly after more than a week. When the tribe evacuated, not many animal skins were brought out, so when the large troops left, most of the animal skin tents were torn down or taken away, leaving only two for the clansmen who were unwilling to leave.

Except for Luo Zhen and the Horned Bamboo family, not many people in the Black Panther tribe stayed this time. There were not more than 30 babies who couldn’t walk together, mainly because of reasons like Heifu's child being too young or sick to leave, or Heiya's legs and feet being injured, making it impossible to walk for a long time.

In the flooded area, besides the Panther tribe that evacuated quickly, various animals continued to live in the land. Those predators who once hid in the forest or grass had also gathered in the same area, posing a great threat to the people who stayed behind.

Fortunately, the scent of those fierce beasts still lingered on the high slope where they stayed, and the surrounding predators didn't dare to rush and attack them recklessly.

The two small tents left behind were naturally not enough for so many people. Everyone wanted to return to the tribe’s place to see the situation after the flood subsided. Having lived there for decades, they were familiar with the area and felt that living in the tribe was much safer than finding a new place to live.

Luo Zhen built a simple hayloft under the banyan tree that had provided shelter from the rain before. The method of making the hayloft was very simple: just use a few tree trunks as support, then spread thick leaves on top, and cover it with moist ground such as branches and weeds. It was very convenient to lie down and sleep at night, and the ventilation was much better than the two densely covered animal skin tents.

After the heavy rain, the temperature rose quickly. People who were used to animal hide tents were curious about Luo Zhen’s small straw shed. Additionally, they could find building materials nearby, so many people learned from Luo Zhen and built one for themselves.

Luo Zhen would also take the initiative to help when he saw this. Occasionally, when others didn't understand, they would ask a few questions, and Luo Zhen patiently answered them one by one.

Soon, a small patch of thatched huts formed near the big banyan tree. Soldiers took turns guarding the tree day and night, so there was no need to worry about the safety of the children playing under the tree.

"Is your injury healed? Do you still want to pretend to be wounded?" Luo Zhen looked at the water level, which had fallen by more than half since the first day, and asked the man next to him.

Lu Zhan stared at the grass, stretched out his hand, and grabbed a strand. Luo Zhen looked at the earthworm swinging in Lu Zhan's hand and silently passed over the animal skin bag. He had a full stomach and tasted everything from ants to earthworms. Initially, he felt a little uncomfortable and even nauseated, but now he could deal with this kind of food that he would never touch before with an expressionless face.

"It depends," Lu Zhan replied, not answering Luo Zhen's question directly, but adding, "They haven't climbed Changfeng Mountain yet."

They were referring to the leader and the group who left with Luca. "Are you worried that they will come back if they fail to reach Changfeng Mountain?"

Lu Zhan spread his hands. Because they would send people to the other side of Changfeng Mountain every few years to exchange stone salt, the people of the Black Panther tribe were very aware of the dangers there. However, even with this knowledge, they decided to leave together this time. Lu Zhan not only worried about powerful fighters but also many ordinary people with little combat ability. Although Lu Zhan thought they wouldn't return easily, he had to be cautious.
