Staghorn horses naturally do not reject being used as mounts by humans. Although staghorn horses have no fighting ability, they are very powerful and can bear loads several times larger than their body weight. Moreover, their running and jumping abilities are very strong, even rivaling some orcs. They may not be able to climb cliffs, but staghorn horses can navigate rough terrain.

Upon hearing the conditions mentioned by Luo Zhen, the huge staghorn horse thought the other party was joking. As long as their staghorn horse clan put in a little effort, they could exchange shelter and food from humans. Nothing could be better than this. Things were settled.

This is also because Luo Zhen lives in a different environment, so he thinks his proposal is taking advantage of the staghorn horse clan. However, for all creatures living in this world, ensuring the survival of their race is paramount, and leaders must ensure their people do not starve or freeze.

However, the huge staghorn horse has probably lived for too long and has a cautious temperament. It is impossible for it to move all the race horses to the human tribe immediately because Luo Zhen’s conditions are full of temptations. Moreover, Luo Zhen and the others just moved here, many things have not been handled properly, and there is not enough food for winter. How could there be enough fodder to feed such a large group of staghorn horses?

Perhaps it was because of Lu Zhan's mixed heritage, or perhaps it was Luo Zhen’s proposal that overwhelmed the huge staghorn horse. In the end, the two parties reached an agreement, but it was in the midst of a cold winter. Contact between the two tribes could be scheduled for the beginning of spring. In the following winter, the human tribes would provide them with sufficient food and shelter.

However, the huge staghorn horse still allowed Luo Zhen to use the pool water first, "I hope you won't break your promise."

"Of course," Lu Zhan solemnly promised. He didn't want to miss this opportunity to use the pool water, and he didn't bother to deceive this ancient group for the power of the pool water. Despite the decline of the staghorn horse clan over generations, he was sure that a single huge staghorn horse could easily crush their entire tribe.

"Come down," the huge staghorn horse looked at Luo Zhen.

Luo Zhen wanted to ask Lu Zhan about the effect of these pools of water, but Lu Zhan seemed to anticipate the doubt in the other's eyes. He gently extended his hand and squeezed the other's palm, signaling Luo Zhen from an angle that the huge staghorn horse couldn't see. After a blink, Luo Zhen could only suppress his doubts for now.

The pool water was icy. Lu Zhan removed the heavy animal skin coat of the opponent, leaving only a thin layer inside. Unlike the staghorn horse and Lu Zhan, who stood on the water, Lu Zhan let go of him, causing him to plunge into the water.

Fortunately, the depth of the pool here only reached Luo Zhen's neck, and it didn't overwhelm him.

But the pool water was too cold, as if to freeze his blood. Luo Zhen's face was visibly pale, and his teeth couldn't help but chatter, "Lu...Lu...Zhan." Luo Zhen looked at the man beside him.

Lu Zhan gently patted his head to soothe him before returning to the pool. The huge staghorn horse lowered its head and gently touched Lu Zhan with its antlers. A little fluorescent light flew from the antlers and landed on Luo Zhen's body. The fireflies, which originally seemed stagnant in mid-air, began to dance. They flew up and down, from the side of the staghorn horse to the edge of the pool. After circling, one of them fell to the surface of the water and created a small ripple before disappearing.

At first, there was one, followed by the second and third. The pool water seemed to absorb the fluorescence, becoming brighter. With the bright pool water, Luo Zhen finally felt a little warmth. The warmth seeped into his body, dispelling the cold air bit by bit. Gradually, the anxiety in his heart calmed down.
