Luo Zhen had long delegated the task of dealing with the city wall to Lu Zhan. After some time passed without much conversation, Lu Zhan bid farewell to Luo Zhen and left with a few soldiers. Axue and Acao stayed behind to assist with the cleanup and left after a while.

"Da Wu, do you need me to do anything?" Seeing everyone else busy, A Jiao asked with concern.

Luo Zhen smiled at her and calmly replied, "No, your primary focus right now is to take good care of Shan Qi." Caring for patients isn't easy, and as a great witch, Luo Zhen couldn't always be at Shan Qi's side.

"Thank you." A Jiao wiped the tears from her eyes. She believed her sincere prayers had been heard by the Beast God, leading to the rescue by such a good tribe and witch. A Jiao had felt some resentment before, as the Shanjia tribe had left her son behind. But now, she couldn't help feeling grateful they stayed.

Seeing A Jiao's tender gaze on Shan Qi, Luo Zhen reassured her, "Don't worry too much, he will improve." While Luo Zhen couldn't guarantee Shan Qi's full recovery, Shan Qi's complexion looked better today, aside from a sudden fever in the morning. With the strong recovery abilities of orc warriors and the Tai Sui in his possession, Shan Qi should be able to wake up soon.

Chasing Wind hadn't seen Luo Zhen leave for a while, so he trotted over to check. Chasing Wind appeared more understanding than other staghorn horses. He noticed a patient inside but stayed near the door, not attempting to enter.

When Luo Zhen noticed Chasing Wind, he recalled the alfalfa he had dug up the day before. He rummaged through his backpack but couldn't find the box containing the alfalfa. After searching the house, he discovered the wooden box placed on a shelf.

The box had been opened for a while, with the alfalfa roots covered in soil, indicating someone had watered it. The soil remained moist, and the alfalfa leaves hadn't dried out much overnight. Luo Zhen knew only Lu Zhan had access to his animal skin backpack.

After ensuring Shanqi was fine for the moment, Luo Zhen gave some instructions to A Jiao and headed out with the box of clover.

Seeing Luo Zhen, Chasing wind happily approached and nudged him. Luo Zhen patted its head, saying, "I'm not leaving today. Go see if A Zhan needs assistance."

Chasing wind huffed, not fond of Lu Zhan but understanding Luo Zhen's obligations. It didn't need Luo Zhen to accompany it, so it followed him to the back of the house. At the edge of the vegetable field, the chasing wind licked Luo Zhen's palm, then reluctantly trotted out of the village.

It knew where to find Lu Zhan. Most of the mud bricks for the city wall were brought back with the help of  chasing wind and its kin, crucial for the road leading to the brick-making site. Without their help, progress on the city wall would have been much slower.

The vegetable field behind the house had been loosened in winter to find food for the staghorn horses. With spring's arrival, Luo Zhen wanted to check if there were any other Tai Sui in the area.

He also specifically instructed people to clean up all the nearby wasteland once again. Although they didn't find any Tai Sui, they did manage to find two wild garlic plants.

Although some wild garlic was eventually found nearby, the quantity was still too small before the first batch of planting could be harvested. Luo Zhen wasn't willing to eat it at all. Yesterday, he had stored all those wild garlic plants to treat Shan Qi's wounds. They were used up as disinfectants.

Due to the relatively large area excavated before, after sorting out all these areas, a dozen vegetable plots were made. Three or four of them already had some crops planted. These vegetable plots, along with those near the fish pond, were different. Luo Zhen personally took care of them. The edible wild vegetables grown there were thriving, showing no signs of wilting. Even these wild grasses had a faster growth cycle, with some starting to bloom in less than a month.
