RAE POV

Im so glad Miya accepted my gifts, I feel like we can turn the page in our relationship. I look over at her laying on the bed playing piano tiles and humming to herself and realize how lucky I truly am.to have someone like her. She's so real and Nique was right, I wont find anyone like her. I lean over and kiss her cheek and she smiles up at me

"What was that for?" she asks

"just because I can" I say and there's a knock at the door.

"Come in." Miya says standing up

"Hey yall im about to grill some food, come down to the pool when yall get a chance." Jordan says

"Oh yay, swimming. Be down in a sec." Miya says going over to her bags

"Actually, Rae will you help me with the food." She asks me

"Yeah sure." I say and kiss Miya one more time before going downstairs

"I never really got to talk to you." Jordan say taking food out of the refrigerator "im guessing you have question?" she asks

"Yeah like why didn't anyone tell me about you and where have you been for so long?' I say

"Well after mom had us she knew she wouldn't be able to keep us both so she gave me to our grandmother. I used to be so upset like why did she choose you over me ya know? but then I realized it was never her choosing you over me. She knew that if something were to happen to both of us no one would ever be able to continue the work her and dad started so she split us up for our safety. After they were killed Granny sent me to Europe to live with our cousin Alex until she felt it was safe for me to come home. When I was old enough to understand what was happening I moved back to the states on my own. I was about 16 at the time. I talked to Granny and she told me that I had a twin sister and when the time was right I would need to come help you. Through moms old colleagues that are still alive I knew now was the time." she explained

I sat and contemplated everything she was telling me> If only I had known sooner I wonder what it would have been like to grow up with a sister.

"This is crazy" I say shaking my head

"I know. I wonder why she took the job in the first place. I mean I know she thought it was doing  some good in the world but it had to be suspicious. The government asking a bunch of college kids to do such a big task.." she says

"yeah I wonder why too." I say

"Well, what else do you want to know?" She sighs

"Im not sure yet. Ill probably think of something later." I say

"Okay, well don't be afraid to ask anything. Ill tell you all I can." she says
I nod my head in confirmation and she smiles

"Come on lets start cooking." she says heading towards the back door and I follow after her. This whole thing just dosent feel right.

MIA POV

As im finishing putting on my swimsuit I hear what sounds like my phone ringing but its Rae's. I walk over to the dresser and see the name Chrissy flashing across the screen. Im tempted to answer but I have to work on my trust right? I trust Rae. Ill ask her about it later. I walk away from the phone when it starts chiming with messages. All. From. Her.

"Fuck it." I say and unlock the phone

'RAE! We need to talk. I have something to tell you.' - Chrissy
'Fr. call me when you can.' - Chrissy
' I know ur probably with ur girl and I shouldn't tell you now but I feel like its important she can wait' - Chrissy

"Bitch what?!" I think out loud

'I miss you' - Chrissy
'Okay ill stop bowing up your phone now. ttyl.' - Chrissy
'Don't play. Call me fr.' - Chrissy

"What the fuck. Hell nawl I need to know what this is now." I say to myself

As I walk out the door phone in hand I bump into Nique.

"Aye girl don't bump me." she says and smiles. My heart flutters like it wants to take flight

"Whatever fight me then." I joke

"Ion think everybody would be too pleased with me if I beat that ass" she say pushing me back

"girl bye." I say and walk around her down the stairs.

"Yeah that's what I thought." she says trailing after me
