We leave the hospital and all pile into our different cars. Rae and i get into the car together and she is silent.

"Baby are you okay?" i asks

"Not really..." she says firmly

"whats wrong?" i say concerned

"I'm upset with the fact that she went and did all that for you and i know shes saying she not trying to win you back but it damn sure seems like it and she already told me she still has feeling for you!" she says gripping the steering wheel tightly "She is one of my long time friends but were grown now and this high school shit ain't cool." she says her voice rough and harsh

I've never seen her like this but then again its only been a few weeks

"Baby i didn't tell her to go get that stuff for me, why don't you talk to her about it?" i say calmly

"Because you love it.. and you fucking know you do. You really want me to ask her to take the house back Miya really?" she says angrily "y'all found it together remember? That shit obviously means something to y'all fucking friendship."

"Ok hold up rule number one don't you EVER cuss at me again in your life n second of all she can take it all back for all i care. We just became friends today so what are you talking about?!?! She was right it is my dream and i did want to do it on my own but without the help it would have taken me years to get it. NO i was not going to ask you or her or anyone else for the money or to give it to me as a gift. I plan on paying her back every single dime anyway because shes stubborn and shes not going to take it back. If you have a problem with her helping me out then take it out on her not me because i don't deal with all the bullshit drama." i say and turn to look out the window

The car falls into a heavy silence as we ride down the familiar road. i stare at the trees on the sides of the roads and watch the birds fly in circles in the sky.

"Baby." she says touching my arm

"Don't touch me." i say not looking at her

"What you mean theres no reason for me to get on butt with you. I could be cussin you out but i chose not to be a basic bitch. Be happy, cuz honestly you're lucky i didn't tell you to pull the car over so i could get out. I absolutely despise having people cuss at me."
