Shadow x Maria (Human)

First meeting- Sonic Adventure 2

The two of them met each other on board the Space Colony ARK. And they formed a very close bond. She is, by far, the one person that made Shadow the happiest, and they shared the same dream: to visit Earth. Unfortunately, Maria was shot and killed by G.U.N, who deemed Project Shadow to be too big a threat to the world. They eliminated everything they could in relation to the project, including the people aboard the Ark. Her last parting words were "Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog," Shadow still stays strong to keep his promise to her no matter what and mourned her death. Since Sonic Adventure 2, all games after this still have the same backstory in which Maria is killed.

Things I like about this ship/dislike.

-It doesn't matter if people see this ship as a brother/sister vibe or romantically because I think it can work both ways. What I don't understand is that people ship this but don't like Sonic and Elise because she a human. (did people also forget that Maria is a human). (Also, Shadow was frozen for 50 years, so he's roughly the same age as Sonic. I don't understand why people think he is older than that).

-Maria was the one to show Shadow how wonderful the earth really is.

-I might get some hate for this, but I don't see the whole of Maria coming back and turning into a hedgehog, what, so that she can be with Shadow again. That's the whole idea of Maria dying, Shadow learns from others to honour Maria's last wish rather than taking revenge.

This ship gets a 6.5/10.
