Sonic and Elise first meet in Sonic the Hedgehog 06. Elise had to be rescued by Sonic since Dr. Eggman was after information about the flames of disaster. Throughout the Sonic Episode, Sonic is always saving her from Eggman. Throughout the whole Sonic episode, Elise forms a close friendship with the hedgehog, which leads to her developing romantic feelings for him. Mephiles use this as an advantage and kills Sonic which leads to Solaris being freed and everyone is sent to a space-time-rift. Silver explains that the Chaos Emeralds can be used to revive Sonic, and each of Sonic's friends gathers them from different locations. Elise revives Sonic with the Emeralds, kissing him as he awakens as Super Sonic and goes to defeat Solaris along with Silver and Shadow. After that whole battle, Sonic encourages Elise to blow out the flame that started the flames of disaster. She does and the timeline is reset, meaning they never met.
Things I like about this ship/dislike.
-Tell me something, if shipping humans with Mobian animals that act like humans is bad. What's the difference when we ship ourselves with a Mobian that we love. There is no difference, the excuse is only there to hate Elise/Maria because they are humans that are connected to their main friends. (Elise being close friends with Sonic while Maria is close friends with Shadow).
-I do understand that Elise was written badly towards the end when she kissed Sonic but here's the thing. Elise felt like she had to repay Sonic in a way that would help him. He was always saving her and was the one to make her happy. Her life wouldn't be the same if she wasn't friends with Sonic. (but it doesn't matter since the game's not cannon and I'm kind of glad since everything else about the game is pretty bad).
-Look, the ship is cute, and they both play off well together. (Sonic being a lot more caring than usual and wanted nothing more than Elise's happiness while Elise was 100% worried about Sonic's safety) but if this ship had a bit time in the oven (maybe fix some of those errors- I would 100% ship this).
This ship gets a 7/10.
