CHAPTER 36

LISA POV

“The ceremony was beautiful..” Jennie said.

"Yeah I loved it too.." I replied.

We are in the car going back to our house, today was Mina and Taehyung's wedding. After two years of relationship they decided to tie the knot. I am happy for them because they are perfect for each other.

"Mina is a wonderful woman and I am sure she will be a good wife too." She added.

"Yes she is but Taehyung is a great guy too, so Mina is a lucky one to be his wife."

She didn't answer but clench her hands tightly on the steering wheel instead. I looked at her face which changed too. What did I say?

"What?" I asked

"Nothing.."

"Of course there is something look at your face." I added.

After a moment she said with a fragile voice.

"Would you have agreed if he was the one who asked to marry you?"

I widened my eyes at Jennie words. She was feeling lower and think that my problem was with her but in fact it's the idea of the marriage itself which sacred me. I forgive her long time ago and gave her my trust too. I didn't think that my behaviour will make Jennie so insecure.

"Jennie...I."

"I know that he is a better man than me and maybe if I didn't come back in your life maybe you would be at Mina's place today."

I gasped with shock and raise my voice.

"No it's not true I forbid you to say that."

I heard Liam who was sleeping in the back seat moving so I lowered my tone.

"Let's continue this once at home." I added and the ride went completely silent after that.

I tugged my son to bed and made my way to my room where I expected to find Jennie but she was not there. I decided to remove my makeup, take a shower and wear something comfortable before looking for her.

I found Jennie in the garden near the swimming pool with a drink in her hand. She was still in her clothes expect her vest, the first buttons of her shirt were undone and the sleeves were lift up to the elbows. She was looking straight ahead lost in her thought.

"Don't you think it's little late for a drink." I asked standing near her, not really knowing what to say or how to start.

She stayed still not even giving me a look.

"Jennie please... talk to me." I said touching her shoulder.

"What do you want me to say." She replied with small voice.

"Tell me what are you thinking, I know it's about what I said earlier but I don't understand why it affects you that much."

She stared at me for a moment before finally talking.

"You want to know why?" She asked and I nodded.

"Because I feel like I am not worth to you, like I am not good enough for you. I am not the person you want to marry!"

It's the first time she spoke about this subject. Usually after my multiple refusal she said I understand and drop the topic so I never thought this will affect her this much.

"Jennie Ruby Jane Kim,  I dare you to say that you are a great person."

"Not as great as Kim Taehyung." She whispered but I heard her.

"Why do you compare yourself to him where is the confident woman I know you are Jennie?"

"I am not longer confident when it comes to you." She said looking everywhere except to me. Her words broke my heart I didn't realize that I made that to her.

I walked to her and took her face in my hands.

"Baby I love your confidence and even your arrogance when it's about our love so don't feel like that I beg you. I am sorry if my words or my actions made you feel this low because thrust me you are the woman and the love of my life, don't ever forget that... I love you so so much and no one can reach your position in my heart never." She kept looking at me with watering eyes and I felt my tears too in the edge of my eyes.

"Do you understand?" I asked shaking her head in my palms.

"It's just when you spoke about Taehyung..."

I cut her off, "Are you still jealous of him?"

"Of course I am." She said detaching herself from me.

"Please honey he is happily married now and so in love with Mina."

"Yes, but that don't erase the fact that you were together and I know that he has a special place in your heart." She said gulping the rest of her drink.

"Yes but just as a friend nothing more." I said calmly.

"I hate it... I hate the thought that he kissed you, touched you I am going crazy just thinking about it, it made me want to kill him and kill myself because I am the reason behind all of this, so when you said that Mina is lucky to have him I couldn't take it.." Jennie said or more shouted and smashed her glass on the floor.

"Jennie baby, calm down." I screamed and hugged her from behind.

She was breathing hard trying to calm her nerves, I cried on her back wetting her shirt in the process. She faced me and took me in her strong arms whispering sorry again and again until I calmed down.

Once I felt better I looked straight in her eyes and found her crying silently, her eyes red and cheeks wet. I used my thumbs to dry her tears.

"I love you so much Jennie and I never stopped..."

She let out a deep breath and replied, "Not as much as I love you Lalisa... you were, are and will be the only one for me, just bear with my stupid and jealous self please.."

I chuckled at her words.

"I won't change this stupid and jealousy woman for anything.."

We sealed this moment with a passionate kiss.

"You are mine don't you." She asked with a vulnerable voice caressing my lips with her thumbs and with eyes full of love and passion.

"Yes yours only yours... and for your peace of mind let me tell you a little secret." I said. She narrowed her eyes at me so I lift my mouth to hers ears.

"I've never been intimate with anyone other than you...not even Taehyung." I whispered seductively biting her earlobe. I felt the pressure of her hands on my waist increase and I smiled at the effect.

In one move she threw me on her shoulder and run to our bedroom spanking me when I asked for her to put me down when in the reality I didn't want her to....
