CHAPTER 8

LISA POV

“Wake up Lis, you were sleeping all the day without eating.”

"I am not hungry Jisoo, just let me rest. I can forget everything only when I sleep."

"But don't forget you are pregnant and the little life inside you need food look at you, you seem so weak."

"I feel like I am dying Jisoo, what this happened to me?"

"Don't say that sweetie you have a thousand of reason to live and the first one is you and your baby."

"How will I do without Jennie? I can't I can't.." I cried.

"Of course you can and I am here I will support you and help you, ssshhh don't spend your tears for someone who don't deserve them."

Jisoo hugged me and she got out me of bed to the kitchen. I was eating when my phone rang

"Hello Mrs Lalisa Kim."

"Yes who is speaking?"

"I am Park Jimin, Ms Kim lawyer."

I felt my heart jump from its place and I held my breath. Jisoo noticed my discomfort and looked at me with questioned eyes.

“Mrs Kim are you still here?”

"Ye... yes I am listening."

"I call to inform you Ms Kim asked for divorce so could you come Friday at 10am to sign the divorce papers?"

"Jennie asked for divorce already?" I asked him shocked.

"Yes Mrs Kim, like I said we wait for you Friday is it ok with you."

After a moment I replied, "Yes I will be there."

"Thank you Mrs Kim, I will send you the address of the meeting." He hung up leaving me stunned. I dropped the phone my hands can no longer hold it.

Jisoo hugged me and tried to calm me. I couldn't believe my ears how she can do this to me, divorce me so quickly. Jennie forgot all our memories, good times and our love. Or maybe she didn't love me like I do after all. Jennie told me her lawyer will contact me but I thought she was bluffing. The lawyer's call is like a slap for me, it woke me up from a dream I was living and brought me back to reality.

So here I am in front of the building. It's 9.50 am and I couldn't enter yet but I have to. I must to be brave, she wants divorce I will give it to her.

I took the elevator and entered to the lawyer's office I found the secretary I smiled to her and said, "Hello I am Lalisa Kim and I have an appointment with Mr Park Jimin."

"Yes Mrs Kim, they are waiting for you." She smiled and guided me to a room she knocked and opened the door for me.

She was here, Jennie sitting and wearing a black lady-tuxedo with a black tie beautiful handsome like always. I diverted my eyes from her when I heard the other man speaking and coming towards me.

"Good morning, I am Park Jimin we were waiting for you take a sit please."

"Good morning." I shuttered, Jennie didn't respond not looked at me her eyes fixed on hers phone.

"So let's begin, we are here today to proceed the divorce between Ms Jennie Ruby Jane Kim and Ms Lalisa Pranpriya Manobal. I prepared the papers according to Ms Kim requests so I will ask you Ms Manobal to read this." Mr Jimin said giving me the papers.

Honestly I didn't read anything unable to concentrate but I didn't say it and returned them to him. After a moment the lawyer said.

"Like you see Ms Manobal you will have nothing from Ms Kim wealth and you don't have any rights on hers money, her company or different properties, is it right Ms Kim?"

I looked at Jennie and for the first time she did the same and said bitterly, "Yes, I will give her nothing."

I just put my head down, I didn't want her to see my hurt.

"Ok and you Ms Manobal do you have any demands?"

"Yes, actually I would want something." I replied and saw Jennie look up and smirk. She probably thought I am going to ask for her money.

"What do you want Ms Manobal?"

"Actually if this is possible I would like the photo albums we made?"

Jennie stared at me with surprised regard and her lawyer asked her if it is ok with her and she said, "Ok, I will give them to her I was going to throw them away anyway."

I looked at my intertwined fingers and tried to stop my tears.

"Do you want to add something else." Mr Park asked, I just shake my head.

"In this case we can sign. Ms Kim are you ready?"

"Of course, let's end this as soon as possible." Jennie said and signed the papers without hesitation.

Mr Park lend me the papers I looked at them and to Jennie maybe I could find some regrets or emotions in her eyes but nothing, she was staring at me with coldness so with shaking hands I signed them. I thought my nightmare was finished but Mr Park came out another document.

"Ms Manobal I have known that you are pregnant?" The lawyer asked.

I stared at him with widened eyes and said, "Why are you asking?"

"Excuse me Ms Manobal, I know this is a very personal question but I need an answer." I nodded by lowering my head.

"In this case I will ask you to sign this document."

"What is this?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Humm Ms Kim, doesn't recognize your child and she wants to be sure you won't ask nothing from her in the future." He said embarrassed.

I was shocked for a few moments and I didn't realize my tears were flowing. I looked at Jennie unable to believe hers cruelty. I felt humiliated and belittled, I wiped my tears forcefully and grabbed the document and signed it with rage and asked a copy of this document, after the lawyer  gave me the copy I stand up.

"Can I go now?" I asked.

"Yes, Ms Manobal and you can come back tomorrow to get the photo album. What time Ms Kim will you bring it?"

"11 am is ok for me.." Jennie replied.

"I will be here at 11 am then." I said by getting up. I stayed for a second looking at Jennie straight headed to the door I stopped when I hear Jennie's voice.

"Stop!"

I turned towards her, maybe she regretted she don't want me to go, I looked at her with hope.

"Give me the ring, it's expensive you don't deserve it." She said.

I gave it to her, I don't want it anyway then I left slamming the door.
