CHAPTER 32

LISA POV

I looked at the four men burying the coffin, all around me was dark, people wearing dark, also the sky was dark by clouds. It was a rainy day. But the great darkness was in my heart, my future. I stayed in my place while all the people were leaving, a succession of black umbrellas leaving one after the other. I managed to walk the place where the love of my life, my father's son will rest. How this happened, in a few days my life became upside down. The loneliness I was feeling, the pain, the regrets couldn't be described in words. It's like my life didn't count now, a part of me left and I won't find it again. I fell on my knees taking a handful of fresh earth smelling it... The pain was so intense that I screamed my agony.

"JENNIE!!!"

At this moment I found myself in a bright place, it's so bright that I couldn't open my eyes. I blinked until my pupils adapted to the light. I felt a hand on my shoulders. I turned my head.

"Tae?" I said.

"How are you feeling.." He asked.

I stared at him for seconds,  Mina was just near him looking at me with concern and teary eyes. At this moment everything came back to my mind I started to shake, my breathing has accelerated. I jumped from the bed and felt an intense pain in my arms. The infusion was ripped off my arm, there was blood.

"Jennie where is she? Is she fine?" I asked.

Two pairs of widened eyes were looking at me. Taehyung was the first to regain his spirit.

"Be careful Lisa you hurt yourself."

"I said where is she?... Speak for god's sake." I yelled at him.

"Jennie is fine please calm down." Taehyung replied grabbing my shoulders softly.

"No... I want to see her." I said look everywhere.

Taehyung let out a deep breath and Mina spoke for the first time.

"Let me just call a nurse for your arm so you can..."

I didn't let her finish and run to the door.

"Where is she." I said walking in the corridors of the hospital searching everywhere like a mad woman. Mina and Taehyung were following me and I was stopped by Taehyung who grabbed my arm with force and made me stop.

"Lisa, stop for God's sake." He shouted, the tone of his voice brought me back to reason.

I shook my head in no, my tears falling like a river.

"I will take you to her ok." Taehyung said softly this time wiping my cheeks with his thumbs.

"Please..." I pleaded, I needed to see Jennie, make sure she was fine and still alive.

Taehyung took my hand and we walked together.

"Jennie is here." Taehyung said pointing to a room, instantly I ran to it opening the door without knocking.

There she was on a bed with her chest and left shoulder bandaged. I ran to her, Jisoo was next to her. I pushed her in the process, took her face in my hands feeling her, looking at hers gorgeous feline eyes which were staring back at me, and the second later I hugged her with so much force that she let out a groan of pain.

I backed away from her.

"I am sorry... so sorry I hurt you.."

"It's okay." She said with a weak voice. I looked around me, found her parents and Kai who was holding Jisoo in his arms.

"How are you feeling sweetie." Jennie's mom asked me.

"I am fine..."

"We were so worried when you stayed unconscious for all this time.." She added.

"What do you mean? How long.?" I asked.

"Almost 20 hours.."

I gasped how I stayed this long. I laid my eyes on Jennie again she was silent looking at me as well.

"We will let you stay alone for a moment and take this time to check on Liam. He is in security in our house.." His dad said this time, taking his wife by her shoulder. I felt a squeeze on my shoulder, I turned to find Kai giving me a reassuring smile, Jisoo kissed me and did the same to her sister.

"See you later JenJen." Her mom said taking Jennie's good hand in her, she smiled weakly at her.

We kept silent for a moment just staring at each other, she tapped the bed gesturing to me to sit by her side and I did. I wanted to block my tears but they fell anyway.

"Shhh babe.." She said.

"I was so... so scared..." I managed to say.

Jennie held my cheek with his right hand caressing it.

"Shuut... I am okay.." She said.

"But I saw you losing your blood and I thought... I thought." I couldn't even tell it. She understood me and replied.

"I am here baby alive and fine so stop crying please.."

I took her hand which was on my cheek and kissed it.

"And you? How are you feeling?" She asked looking at our intertwined hands.

"I am relieved now that I am speaking with you.." I replied with a smile. Her eyes fell on my arms with bloodlines on it.

"Lisa, you are bleeding." Jennie said with concern.

"Oh it's nothing... it's just the place of the infusion that has ripped off."

"Ripped off?" Jennie asked.

"Yeah when...when I woke up I was so worried about you so I jumped from the bed without precaution so..."

"I will call the nurse how can you be so irresponsible." She said scolding me.

"It's nothing really..."

She didn't listen to me and pressed the button and a nurse came. When we were alone again I took my place next to her.

"I am sorry, about what happened." Jennie said her face down.

"The most important thing now is that we are all ok."

"Yes but..."

“Please Jennie I don't want to speak about anything, what happened it’s happened so drop it now." I cut her caressing her hand with the tip of my finger. I was just happy and didn't want to spoil the mood.

"There’s nothing we can do about what happened. I knew we needed to speak about it one day or another but not now.”

She nodded.

Later the doctor came to check on her, everything was ok the surgery was successful she has to rest for weeks and everything will be fine. Thanks to God the bullet didn't touch any vital organ.

I looked at her sleeping peacefully and was glad we are all safe. The pain or may I say the agony I felt in that nightmare was so intense that I am not sure I could bare it in reality.

Being separated from her is not like leaving in an earth where she is not.
