For a while, they simply sat in silence, the gentle rhythm of their breaths the only sound in the room.

While Taelyn rested her head against Heeseung's chest, she felt a feeling of safety and security that she had longed for since the moment they had parted ways all those years ago. Heeseung presses a tender kiss to the top of her head.

Their fingers intertwined, and Taelyn and Heeseung found themselves lost in the simple pleasure of each other's touch.

Heeseung traced lazy circles on the back of Taelyn's hand. In response, Taelyn brushed her thumb across his palm.

"So, tell me about your missions," she prompted, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Heeseung chuckled, a hint of mischief in his gaze. "Oh, you know, the usual," he replied casually. "Infiltrating enemy territory, dodging bullets, that sort of thing."

Taelyn laughed, shaking her head in mock disbelief. "You always did have a flair for the dramatic," she teased.

Heeseung grinned, squeezing her hand affectionately. "Guilty as charged," he admitted, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "But enough about me. What about you, Taelyn? How's life as a nurse treating you?"

Taelyn's expression softened at the question, a sense of pride swelling in her chest as she let her cheek rest against his heartbeat. "It's been challenging, but incredibly rewarding," she confessed. "Every day brings something new, something unexpected. But knowing that I'm making a difference, even in the smallest of ways, makes it all worth it."

Heeseung's eyes glowed with admiration as he listened to her speak. "I always knew you were destined for greatness," he murmured, his voice filled with warmth. "You've always had a heart of gold, Taelyn."

Taelyn glanced up at Heeseung, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she teased him with a playful smirk. "How tall were you when we were seventeen again?" she inquired, her voice laced with amusement.

"5'10," Heeseung replied, his tone casual as he met her gaze with a grin.

Taelyn nodded thoughtfully before raising an eyebrow in mock skepticism. "And how tall are you now?" she pressed, a playful glint dancing in her eyes.

"6'0," Heeseung answered with a chuckle, a hint of pride evident in his voice.

A smile tugged at Taelyn's lips as she leaned in closer, her voice softening with a hint of nostalgia. "Do you still remember the names I wanted for our children?" she asked, her gaze searching his face for any hint of recollection.

Heeseung's grin widened, a fondness shining in his eyes as he remembered. "Taehee and Gwanhee," he replied smoothly, his tone affectionate as he recalled their shared dreams of the future.

As their conversation came to a natural pause, Taelyn found herself drawn to Heeseung. With a soft smile, she leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to his lips.

Heeseung's eyes sparkled with amusement as he gazed at her, a playful grin tugging at the corners of his lips. "Feeling nostalgic, are we?" he teased, his voice tinged with affection.

Taelyn chuckled softly, her heart light with joy. "Maybe just a little," she admitted, her gaze lingering on his. "But I wouldn't have it any other way."

They felt like teenagers again, lost in the dizzying whirlwind of first love and endless possibility.

Taelyn's lips curved into a playful smile as she leaned in once more, pressing another sweet peck on Heeseung's lips.

"You're the one who dumped me, you know," Heeseung pointed out. "And now you can't seem to let me go."

Taelyn rolled her eyes playfully, her cheeks flushing with a mixture of embarrassment and affection. "Well, I've had a change of heart," she quipped, unable to hide the smile that tugged at her lips. Her touch was tender as she cupped Heeseung's face in her hands, her gaze meeting his with unwavering determination. "I'll never let you go again," she vowed, her voice soft yet filled with conviction.

Heeseung's eyes softened at her words, a sense of warmth spreading through him at the sincerity in her voice. "And I'll never leave your side," he promised, his own hand reaching up to cover hers, their fingers intertwining in a silent pledge of love and devotion. "I'm not scared of the other mafias. Not even of my own boss."

"Look at you. Always acting tough. You know," she began softly, "I've always been in love with your Bambi eyes. Even in high school."

Heeseung's brows furrowed slightly in surprise, a faint blush coloring his cheeks at her heartfelt confession. "Even when I tried so hard to look tough in high school?" he asked, a hint of self-consciousness creeping into his tone.

Taelyn nodded, her gaze unwavering as she reached out to gently cup his cheek. "Even then," she affirmed, her touch light and reassuring.
