He was the monster they warned her about.
And she loved him anyway.
Daniella Lockwood was never supposed to fall for Klaus Mikaelson. But somehow, between stolen glances, late-night painting sessions, and the gentle way he said her name, she did. Co...

Founders Day.
Probably the best and worst day of the year.
It was the best because it meant all the founding parties and events were finally over—for a while at least—before they started back up again. And it was the worst because it was the one day both Lockwood siblings were forced to be on their best behavior in front of the town.
For Daniella, it used to be no problem. But lately, with all the ideas Dylan kept putting in her head, people were starting to notice the way she was trying to act out. Still, she wasn't as bad as Tyler—they could tell she was testing boundaries, but she was still being responsible.
In all honesty, Daniella liked her life.
She liked the attention. She liked the luxuries. And she loved to plan things. She loved having things under control, just like her mother. As much as she tried to be a normal teenager—especially with Dylan—she always ended up getting too roped into the whole founding family lifestyle.
Right now, she was in front of her vanity, curling her hair, getting ready to go to the town square where her parents were scheduled to give their annual speech celebrating Mystic Falls. The more she thought about it, the more ridiculous it all sounded—but it was a good excuse to dress up and hang out with friends.
As she let go of a final curl, a knock came from her open door. She turned slightly to see her older brother standing there.
"Oh, perfect little Ella," Tyler mocked as he stepped into her room, eyes scanning the perfectly neat space. She was already dressed, just finishing up her hair.
"How do you do it? Handle all this? I've been counting down the hours till it's over."
"I actually like it," Daniella said with a grin, standing to put on her heels. "The bossing around, the dances, the new dresses—it's fun!"
She walked around her room gathering some last-minute things, wobbling slightly with her shoes still unbuckled. Tyler had already sat down on the stool in front of her bed, clearly waiting for her to sit so he could buckle them. She did just that, placing one foot on his lap.
"I think having a new pair of shoes for every event is actually insane," he said as he buckled the strap. "I don't know how we're not broke with all the money you spend."
"Oh, this is nothing," she laughed, switching feet. "Wait till next year when I actually get to participate in Miss Mystic Falls."
Tyler groaned. "I'm already dreading it. I'm surprised Mom didn't make me participate this year and be someone's escort."
"She did, but the girl she wanted to pair me with already had a boyfriend," he replied, finishing the second shoe and standing up. "Please don't break up with Dylan. I don't want to get dragged into next year's chaos."
